I'm using the subox Mini C from kanger tech using SSOCC 0.5 OHM coils. I make my own e-liquid and I use Vegtable Glycerine and extract. I keep getting dry hits because I don't have any PG and I'm too lazy to get my ... to the computer and order some. What alternatives are there so I don't have to order PG and have to wait a million years for it to come in?

Is your VG USP grade? It should be. And what kind of "extracts" are you using? Are they suitable for vaping? USP PG can be bought from many ecig vendors. I buy mine from Nude Nicotine, but there are many great suppliers of VG/PG/nic base.

In a pinch, you can use distilled water or a bit of vodka to thin out your eliquid (just a drop or two per tank), but I recommend getting some PG eventually.

Good luck and welcome aboard!

I don't know where you can get PG locally except for some Pharmacies. I know my pharmacy can order it, so you might want to call around several pharmacies to see if they have any in stock. The price will be way more than you expect.. I think it was like triple or quad of what I can get online.

Second idea is to try and get the SSOCC coil to work with max VG. Try taking one and poking some small holes through the cotton... if you have some kanthal laying around, try something like 28 gauge.

I use Kanger OCC coils, too. The older (2015-16) box shaped ones and the newer (2016-2017) cylindrical stainless. I mix most of my own juice too, and even the few commercial juices I don't clone have 30 PG max.

Even though the Subox device is 50 Watt capable and Kanger claims the range of the OCC line of coils is up to 50 Watts, they are assuredly not 50 Watt coils. The only one in the OCC line that might be is the Clapton, and that's because of the slower heat up time.

Max VG on a non-Clapton OCC coil near 50 Watts is going to disappoint. You might try the distilled water route, or trying to puncture the cotton at the wicking holes with a pin or needle. The Subtank Mini C tank that comes with the kit is a good flavor tank, and at least for me, the Subtank/Toptank/Mini C sweet spot is 35-40 Watts.

No water addition here, and the pins and needles stay in the gentleman's sewing kit.

I found some at my local Southern Agriculture store. My local Tractor Supply has it as well. The only drawback at all is that you have to buy it by the gallon. Both times it cost me about $35.
About the same price most everywhere, from what I can find... by the gallon, that is... around $30 on Amazon... $5 for immediate versus at least 2 days in shipping is not too bad...
