Hi all, I really like the pen style like spinner, or just round like sliver bullet. The spinners have just 1 tooooooo many horror stories of those batteries. What's a good "pen" mod, or just I guess circle lol, sounds so newbie! not to big but still decent on battery life? Yes, I know, go w/ mvp2 if I want a great battery . I just am not sure about the box style, bulkiness or whatever it may be lol. I can't afford anything crazy right now so no provari! What about clones, are they bad news. Plz help & TY:?::facepalm:

The VV v3 is the best (generally speaking) "pen" device out at the moment.

If you're looking for round regulated mods, you can't really go wrong with a Vam, SVD, Zmax/Zmax mini. The SVD is a touch on the big side when used with an 18650 battery, but still nice as far as features. If I picked a regulated round mod, it would probably be the Vamo.

The "horror" stories I"ve heard regarding Spinners generally involve extreme physical abuse, using the wrong charger, not keeping them clean (i.e. juice flooding in) and things like that. I have several in my rotation that are well over a year old and no problems with any of them. Sometimes the form factor is more appropriate to my activities, sometimes I just don't want to risk my higher end gear, sometimes they just go along as backup.

Ipads and Iphones have gone up in flames as well as other consumer electronics.

In both cases, failure rate is ridiculously low.

The Innokin EP is the low rated one, the VV3 performs like the 800 mAh rating it has, nice unit but you need two. Of course, you need backups anyway...

The MVP is a lot smaller and lighter than you might think - although still, of course, a box :)

The several tube mods mentioned are all good options as well, but you'll also need to get at least two good batteries and a charger for them, so initial cost goes up a bit. Of course, those can probably be used with future tubes you might get into.

Another happy user here of the genuine Vision Spinners. I got 2 when I first started vaping and used them exclusively for about 2-3 months. Both are still in occasional use even now and have given me zero problems.

I still recommend spinners to new vapers looking for an ego type smaller form-factor battery as I've found them to be reliable and easy to use.

You've had some good suggestions too though, the VV3.0 mentioned above is a favorite of a lot of people on the ECF.

I agree, two Vision Spinners - 1300 mAh. As has been said, the MVP2, though a box, is quite small and does last all day, in fact two days.

I use both of these depending on what I'm doing. This morning, as I go out, I'll be taking a couple of Ego batteries out with me and a couple of CE4s. But it's usually a Spinner/MVP mix.

Just helped two of my neighbors get vaping equipment. They both got Vision 2 spinners and are very satisfied. I still have a clone of a Kanger VV pen style (no idea who really made it) that I have been using for two months and it is working fine. use it when I leave the house so I don't chance losing or dropping my Tesla....

For a mech mod in a pen style, take a look at the Nemi by Atmomixani. It runs a 14500 or 14650 battery so it's skinnier than the traditional 18mm batteries. I even think clones are starting to come out as well.

Only concern I have with that is you should *not* be able to build anything sub-ohm lower than 0.8 ohms, as the amp rating for these batteries are at 9.5 amps max.
