What is a "hybrid" mod?

A hybrid is a device that is "all in one". Not something where you can swap different tanks/rba's. They have their own unique connection, and are typically smaller than a mod plus an atty.

Like already said, it is usually a genesis style atty that is unique to a specific mod. It is a compact and seamless way to carry a mech and atty combo.

No there are dripper hybrids. And silica hybrids as well, look at the mister silica, kinda like a kayfun tank type hybrid.
The definition of a hybrid mod is a mod that relies on a disk or pin rather than a 510 connection. If it utilizes a 510 connection, it is not a hybrid mod. (even if the body is flush with the atomizer, both where the surfaces meet & cylindrically) Typically they utilize a disk with a higher surface area than the 510 pin, which provides an experience of less voltage drop in comparison to the 510 connection. In order to test a hybrid mod's genesis (aka genisis) atomizer, one must use a multimeter with probes rather than utilizing an ohm meter designed for the 510 connection.
