What is a PCC?

It is a personal charging case.You charge it up and then you can charge your batts on the go.
Thank you both so much for your answers! zoiDman, so I could use PCCs for cell phones/notebooks on Riva/eGo batteries? Where would I get one of those? Or if I were to look on Amazon or something, what would I search for? Thanks!
The external battery I got is kinda overkill for most people. I bought it on e-Bay new for $25 so it was a great deal.

I got it for a week camping trip I went on. Most people want a PCC to be able to charge a e-Cig battery when they are away from a way charger.
But here is the thing. If you are just looking to charge a e-Cig battery once or at most twice while about and about, it is probably cheaper to just buy two more e-Cig batteries verses a PCC.
If you do decide that you want an external battery to be able to charge e-Cigs and or a cell phone/iPod, you might do searches for "external USB batteries" or "USB batteries. You going to get many results. Look for ones that say they have 5v usb output with at least 500mAh. Your looking for a external battery that has USB port on it for output. It is just like using your computer usb port to charger an e-Cig.
The amount of storage capacity the external battery has is also measured in mAh. If you divide this amount be how much your e-Cig battery has, it will give you a rough idea of how many times you can charge your e-Cig.
Example: A standard eGo/Riva battery = 650mAh. You find an external battery that says it has 2,400mAh capacity. 2,400/650 = 3.69 So you could recharge a eGo/Riva battery 3 times before the external battery needs to be recharged.
Like I said, it might be cheaper just to get a couple of extra e-Cig batteries. But it is nice to be able to charge a cell phone and an e-Cig if your going to be gone for a couple of days.
There are tons of PCC 's made for most "pen" style e-Cigs such as 510 or KR808. I have never seen one for a eGo/Riva though.
One thing I forgot to mention.
Some external batteries, especially those meant to charge notebooks have mAh capacity rated at higher voltage than the 5v USB port.
The one in the picture I posted is rated at 4,400mAh @ 11v. That is output needed to charge notebook. When you do the math and convert the capacity to 5v it comes out to about 9,800mAh @ 5v. That is enough capacity to charge a standard eGo/Riva 650mAh battery about 15 times.

It says it will work with the 1000mah battery also, but I honestly dont know if it would fit in it.Oh, and while it is splitting hairs, I would not call that digipower battery a PCC. Its not an actual carrying case, its just a big battery.

A 1000mAh will fit - but will stick out the top. The top is open so it will work - but you will see an
inch or so of battery sticking out when closes - see pic below to see what I mean
Absolutely you can have a battery running at higher voltage. Just as long as it has a USB output port. The USB power port will step down the voltage to 5v.
The only problem I have with this eGo PCC is that it only has 2000mAh of capacity. So your only going to be able to recharge an eGo battery 2 times. 3 if they are not fully drained. So at the price of the PCC, I would rather buy 2 extra eGo batteries.
True, my external battery is not what most would consider a PCC. But it will also charge my cell phone, GPS, laptop and e-Cig. I do like the fact that the eGo PCC will carry a spare atty or juice though.
I am in complete agreement with you - the ego pcc cost $35, while at places like Liberty Flights you can get complete RIVA starter kits for $30 - it just doesn't make economic sense not to carry 2 extra batteries and forget about it.
The Digipower Rechargeable Battery you have does make a lot of sense though if you are going to be without electricity for a few days.
Like I said, I got mine on e-Bay New for $25.
I'm not sure I would have paid $99 on amazon for it but it did work flawlessly on the camping trip I went on. There are many other brands of external batteries that have USB 5v out for less. I check out reviews and specs on amazon and then look on e-Bay for a deal if possible.
