Prodigy and GG are basically battery packs that accept atomizers of different styles. Since batteries are a weak and unreliable part of the e-cig system, the producers of these two devices have addressed the power supply problems. Each one accepts user repaceable batteries that can be recharged in a unit you plug into the wall outlet of your home.

Each of these devices is manual. They have buttons on them that allow the user to manually heat up the atomizer heating coil for as long as the user so chooses. This can often mean more vapro and better throat hit.

Additionally, these two devices run at higher voltages than the batteries you may currently screw into your atomizer. The higher power creates a near-analog throat hit that some forum member love.

Seems to depend on a number of factors. I've read that the Prodigy can run for about 6 hours of heavy vaping at 5v, and about 12 hours at 3.7v. I don't have one (yet) so those are just numbers I've seen on the board. Someone who owns one or both is bound to answer with more authority.
