What is a sticky?

It's a post that the forum moderator(s) and the community have deemed useful or important. By making it a sticky, it remains at the top of the forum's post listing. They are intended to keep people from posting questions or threads that are far too common, but don't work as intended, usually. If you have a question, and go to a certain subforum to look for an answer, chances are it's been asked and answered in one of the stickies on the board.

I was just noticing that on some of my posts they are marked "sticky" I thought these were posts that were special or must reads? I didnt think any of my posts or replies were that out of the ordinary.:unsure:

Did you post in a thread that was already stickied?
