Kind of a loaded question with regards to clones, gennys being almost close to being the same anyway etc.
Then there's the issue of the rsst and ac9...

But if someone wanted to find a genisis atomizer that wasn't a complete 1:1 copy of a $100+ atty (seriously, some of the prices for these things are rude!), what would be the choices?
Obvious to me would be the pyrex rsst, but as said before, a cloudy issue. What else is out there that's not a 1:1 clone, that is also under $50 and is not a AGA-T2?

I guess that FT one is really the main option besides RSSTs and AGAs.

I do have an older RSST, I was just wondering what else is out there. I had a look at the newer pyrex tank RSST and couldn't work out why there's a massive hole in the top deck. So large, so leaky if accidentally knocked over.

The new RSST with air flow control?
I had to look that cap up, never heard of it before so thanks.
Why are there air holes on both sides? Doesn't look like it can shut down very much either.

There are 2 holes on the single coil model (One for the wick and one is a fill hole). There are 3 holes on the dual coil (two wick holes and one fill hole). The fill hole has a plug for it but some users remove that for better wicking I presume by stopping the vacuum that might occur.

Just went and had a look on my RSST's. The "holes" are actually vertical oval holes. You can really open them up or close them down all the way with the AFC ring.

I've still got 3 left for sale for cheap. Heh! 1 dual coil and 3 single coil models. All with AFC tops. I guess I ought to meander over to the classifieds and put up a post. Just too lazy right now.

[edit] Forgot to say that they are all pyrex tanks. Question - Have you built RTA's before?[/edit]

Ha Ha yeah, I've built before.
Thing is I'm in Australia and the only pyrex rsst I've seen before is from local sites like this: Smoktech PYREX RSST Rebuildable Atomizer | VapeKing

Single coil, and one weird massive hole - the old RSST had two holes the same size, one insulated for the wick, one fill hole that didn't need the plug as it wouldn't leak much anyway. I guess that large hole on the new rsst available in Australia is for the wick, as the other is so far away from the terminal screws...

So I haven't seen the dual coil version like the one at madvapes before, so couldn't work out why there was a two hole AFC for a RSST. But good stuff, learning things like this is why I posted the question here :D
e: Pity there's not a single hole AFC cap - or is there? I'm happy with single coil on a genny.
