5v is stronger throat hit, more vapor... but for me, it cooks the crap out of the flavor.

There are special high voltage juices for exactly this reason. When you turn up the power, you can fry out the flavor of the juice.

I'd try an LR atty or a 5v pass-through before you go ahead and spend the money on a mod. A lot of people like them... but I didn't. And I'm glad I tried it before I spend 100 bucks on something that's not really for me.

Hi Davide,

MistressNomad is absolutely right, it improves everything except the taste of some flavors. I love vaping at 5 volts.

I you are interested in trying a 5 volt device, there are some fairly inexpensive mods available. I bought one from Ken's Box Mod just to try it and I'm hooked.

If you do decide to go to a higher voltage, you may want to consider a PV that is adjustable like the Buzz, Little Sister, etc..

Yup, and the Little Sister is only, what, 60 bucks? That's not bad.

If I were going to get a PV over 3.7v, that's the one I'd get. I think I might enjoy up into the 4v range, but 5v is just too much for me.

I'm one of those freaks who is perfectly content with something that performs like a cigarette, ha ha.
You are hardly alone. After a month on a standard Joye 510 i ordered a Riva kit and a 5V PT. That was a few weeks ago and ive decided that i prefer the smoothness of vaping at 3.7V. I pretty much use my Riva exclusively. I hardly ever use my 5V PT, but im glad i have it.

Options rule.
