If its a 36mg bottle:

is it 36mg per gram or per ml

It's typically measured as 36mg/ml

Manufacturers (except Johnson Creek) measure in mg per gram so it would be 36mg of nicotine per gram of eliquid.

As a gram of propylene glycol is around 1ml we tend to say it's mg per ml for ease of use.

Ahh..I think I get it. They base it on the specific gravity of the fluid they use and rate based on a mg/ml. So the Non-PG is mg per 1.26 grams and the PG would be rated at mg per 1.04 grams.

A bit confusing for the end user I think.

I don't know that their logic is based on that. I heard that it's something to do with a cartridge size but I'm fuzzy on the details.
