Happened to me last time I tried to completely leave them alone. My Atty burned out and I was glad I had bought said pack. I have an almost full pack I have in my car and today I have not touched them. Then again today I had a package from liberty flights waiting on me in my mailbox this morning

It DOES get better. No doubt about it. So many people keep confirming it. And I did it myself - no willpower involved, really.

I wouldn't be afraid of / put too much weight on having a cigarette here and there. This is not a "quit method", there is no such thing as a "relapse". It's a substitution, and it's okay if you transition instead of switching. See, I switched right away, without trying. So did many others. BUT, a lot of others transitioned, some faster, some slower. It's all good. And remember every cigarette you don't smoke counts.

Vape on and, as this guy said and I just love the phrase: trust the vape :)

I agree whole-heartedly!

I vaped until I didn't want to smoke anymore. It's not a quit, it IS substitution. Having a smoke will not get nicotine into an empty system, just a different delivery. It's also a lot less pressure not having to fight against the 'forbidden' cig. My approach worked for me, I would have been happy if I stopped smoking months from now. No pressure to quit and I smoked until I didn't want to anymore, way before I would have thought.

I had 7 left when I stopped and I have them in a large pill bottle (taped shut, so they are available, but don't just fall into my hand lol). They (A) save me the expense of a new pack, if I need a smoke, (B) make sure I don't have a reason to 'bum one', I have my own, (C) allow me to turn down offers, I have mine, I chose not to smoke them. In a worst case scenario, those 7 added to the total at the end of 1 year would make very little difference.

I vape. I enjoy it. It gives me my nicotine. It tastes WAY better than a smoke. I don't crave a smoke, but I may crave a Vape! It's all good.

elfstone nailed it, I think.

I've been fiddling around with disposable e-cigs for a few weeks and recently got a KGO and a few different juices...but I'm still smoking, too.

However, at this point I'm looking at it as harm reduction, and quitting as a process. Harm reduction because I am definitely smoking fewer cigarettes which is a good thing, and process because I don't feel the scary "OMG this is IT I am quitting forever OMG" stress. I'm not "OMG quitting", I'm just transitioning at whatever speed is comfortable. I have quit smoking in my vehicles, and have cut my in-house smoking by maybe a third. I can leave the house and run errands or whatever for hours with only my PV with no stress or craving at all, which as a 50-something, hard-core, 37-year smoker, has never, ever happened.

I have to say...although I still crave a smoke here and there, I'm starting to crave the tasty hit of a vape too. I think once I get some more juices and have a bit of a stash built up I will feel more comfortable not having a cigarette around for "just in case."

Don't be too hard on yourself! It's not a race. :)

Don't worry about that, you can vape the cravings away easily once you get a nice mod, a stack of cartos and some great juices. After 2 weeks I tried to smoke an analog and let me tell ya brother, it was NASTY! I now no longer have cravings. The first week was tough, the second week was much better, and after the one that I started and extinguished after a few puffs, I haven't craved one again... Vaping on the other hand has become a much more pleasant habit. Of course if BWB doesn't open up again soon, I may just lose my mind! ;-)

Today is my 6th day without cigarettes. (Smoked 3-4 packs a day for the last 29 years.) I found having lots of juice with various nicotine levels helps me. When I'm seriously craving a cigarette, I change to a higher dose of nicotine. When I feel the craving is gone, I go back to a lower level. I was concerned with overdosing on nicotine, so I looked up my regular brand of cigarettes and saw that it was 10 mg per pack. I usually vape 11 mg. I go up to 14-16 mg when I'm having a rough time. I switch to 6 mg at the very end of day. (I was having some bizarre dreams that I think were nicotine related.)

Hang in there! You'll make it. Find what works for you and stick with it. I know you can make it.

Well I broke down and bought a pack today. Made it about half way through my first one and decided it just tasted too bad to continue lol.

Now that you have your 'security blanket' make sure it is available but not too available. Don't carry them like you did when you were smoking (shirt pocket, purse, behind the ear LOL). Maybe put them in a zip-lock bag or anything that will make you stop for a moment before you pull one out. And when you feel an urge; reach for a vape first and see if vaping satisfies the urge. Top yourself up on nicotine first. And keep track of what you have smoked and how many you haven't. Show yourself there is a reduction.

Don't throw your money at things because you think they may be the perfect solution. How many e-cig products have you bought that have been as good as they were advertised or worked as well as the reviewers said? See beyond the 'shiny'! Relax and Enjoy!

My free advice is worth what you paid for it! YOU decide what works for you and share what works for you with others. It may not work for them but they may be able to identify with one small thing and it may help them immensely.

I repeat: Relax and Enjoy!

I know the feeling WAS a smoker for 30+ years.
When I started Vaping I started with the highest nicotine juice I could find, 38mg I believe. I don't even know if they still make it that high now. Chained vape like crazy, still there was cravings but I stuck to my vaping. Everybody around me smoked, that was hard. After about two months I tried a analog, it taste nasty but I smoked it. Vowed never to do that again. Month later bummed another, lit it took a drag and couldn't handle the taste gave it back, lol. Couple months later tried again...thought I was missing something I guess, took a drag threw it to the ground and started to gag uncontrolable wanted to throw up, the taste in my mouth was so unbearable, kept spitting and spitting tried washing my mouth out, nothing worked. The taste left in my mouth made me sick for awhile. Have to say that was the LAST analog I've tried, don't miss it. I recommend a high nicotine level juice, it helps with the craving. Don't give up vaping it's become the best thing I ever tried to Quit.

Well I have not had an analog last two days. Today being day three I am having in controllable urges to go buy a pack. Figured by now I'd be in the clear but it's worse today than day 1. Is this normal?

Yes it's normal because you're detoxing from all the other junk in cigs. Drink tons of water to help flush your system out. It will pass.
