Hello I just joined this forum today, i recently picked up a few disposable e-cigs and after going on my fourth day without an analog I have made the choice to switch permanently to e-cigs. In the past I have tried to quit analogs either going cold turkey (miserable failure), using medication, or through the use of gum none of which lasted more than a week. However now that i have started using e-cigs I don't even feel the urge to go out and buy another pack of analogs. I do not have anything but the disposables that i purchased but I am looking for a suitable reuse able kit. I had my eye on Blu but after reading about them more in depth i have found that they are probably not the best option and i was looking for something similar, but possibly more reliable and more affordable. I am open for any suggestions.

Thank you for your support i am just happy to finally feel like i can be done with the analogs. I worked a very stressful customer service job for about six years in a town that was entirely devoted to tourism. Working where i did put me through a lot of stress and smoking and a cocktail of antidepressants were all that seemed to keep me sane. Recently i have reached my dream of becoming a system administrator for a fairly large company and with it went most of my stress. I feel as though this is a new chapter in my life and i feel that i need to make a change to further benefit my life. I thank this site and all those with in it for any support you may give, i feel like i really have a chance to change for the better.

Hi Bael2212
I just joined today too. I started with a Bloog kit which I believe is about the same as a volt. I have loved it. It is alot like a real cigarette and I found myself holding and tapping it constantly to get me through the cravings for an analog. For me part of the addiction was having it in my hand and it has a rubberized feel to it. I got refillable cartos with it and then came the next challenge - the juice! It really worked for me for 5 months. I don't know anything about Blu though.

Welcome to ECF and congrats on giving up the stinkies ;)

If you are going with a cig look alike do yourself a big favor right away. Buy plenty of batteries, they don't last long and you will need to keep plenty of them charged up.

I sent straight to Ego T's then C's for battery longevity so I can't comment on any other aspect of the small ecigs but what I have read about them. The battery life is very short.

It took me five months before I was ready (or willing) to move up to a bigger battery. The bloog type provided all the tactile satisfaction I needed. But it was not a mini. They are something different. I just got an ego c twist last week and love it. But I think it would have been too awkward for me to start with. Also, it gets expensive to keep upgrading.

My personal opinions on the topic:

Bloogs are decent, I started on one. You can get larger batteries for them. Holding them is not exactly like holding a cigarette, they're heavier than a pack of smokes. If you go with a lookalike you should look into getting a PCC also. Nothing worse than having no charge in a time of need, and you'll get around 2-3 additional charges until you are near a usb/wall socket with enough time to recharge.

do yourself a big favor right away. Buy plenty of batteries, they don't last long and you will need to keep plenty of them charged up.
This is 100% true. From a PAD smoker I was swapping batteries 5-6 times a day.

Some other considerations beyond battery life:
-Cartomizers on the minis need to be topped up regularly. Bring extras and extra juice.
-The tactile feel is only part of the problem. You may find the vape is not satisfactory. Flavour, throat hit, vapour amount, these all come into play when you're replacing tobacco. When you get your first almost dead battery or carto you'll understand how bad a weak vape can be.
-(at least 808s) have few additional options beyond the stock parts. If you want to change how the juice is stored/delivered you'll quickly find your options are limited.

The main reason you'll see suggestions for ego or similar is because many people find these issues to be major, and investing in another kit can get expensive. The idea of a lookalike is great; but in practice many have found them unsatisfactory and are willing to give up the sleekness for something more functional. That's not to say a mini won't work for you, they just have more limits.

I do not suggest the blu. They do not have a good reputation. I started with them and quickly had to return it. It is very expensive and the batteries only last 30minutes to an hour.

If you want something that looks like a cigarette, check out the volt from smokeless image. It is the same battery as the bloog and halo g6 except they are a little cheaper and have a customer service that is second to none. The coupon code YOURVOLT00 will get you 15% off your entire order.

Here is a video that goes demonstrates the volt products. You can apply the same information to halo g6 or bloog since it is the same battery.

I do agree with much of what recidivus says however, I did fine with two batteries, both automatic unsealed until I wrecked one with juice. I ordered a cheaper vendor branded version of the sealed automatic and both are still going strong. I work at a computer so could always have one charging. The 808 thread is definitely more limited in options which is why I've now bought an ego c twist with clearomizers but I keep my bloogs for going out. I'll always have a soft spot for them because they are what got me off the stinkies. I also think I had to go through finding juices that work for me before I could fully appreciate a larger system. Just how it went with me.

I went with a Joye 510. It's about the size of a Black and Mild cigar. When I drip, it has good flavor and vapor. At first, the battery would last 4-5 hours before I'd have to switch it out. After using it for about a month now, I use the same battery all day and night. I just swap it out with the one that was on the charger in the morning. I love this thing! Maybe I'm just lucky?
