What am I doing wrong here? I heard 5v were good vaping? I have a 5v box mod with a regular atty and when i vape i on only get a little taste then burnt vape kicks in. Any tips? I also tried a lr atty with the same results.
It sounds like you have more voltage than is proper for the attys you are using. You're probably going to have to move up the ohms a little. If your "regular" atty is 2.5 ohms, you might try one at 2.8.
What kind of atty are you using? What is the ohms? Is it a new atty or a used atty? All of this plays into good results vaping at 5 volts. For example, a new BE112 (801) atty, 3.0 ohms, dripping is simply a good "vape" at 5 volts.
2.8 or 3ohm atomizers are lovely at 5v...I actually love 3ohm Boge cartomizers at 5v. LR attys and cartos are a no no at 5v....will either just "taste like burning" or blow your LR atty. That's all I got. Best wishes.

I agree with this. 2.8 to 3.2 is the range, but there are quite a few juices out there that either need 3.7 volts, or you can try a high volt atty at or above 3.5 ohms.
I have had the best luck with boge cartos as well. I get 4-5 days out of lighter colored liquids myself. I dont even use Attys any more with my box mod.
I find the juices that I dont like at 5 volts with a 3.0 ohm carto, (some can taste burnt) I love at 3.7 volts at 1.7 to 2.0 ohm lr attys. I drip on a LR 306 with my ego.
Obviously many people vape 2.3 ohm 510's at 5 volt and seem to like it. I find that attys around 3.0 ohms are much better because you still get a nice warm throat hit but with out the burning that sometimes occurs with lower ohm atties like yours.
This would be a could time to experiement. Get a BE112 (801) atty - 3.0 ohm and a 510-801 adapter ($4) and see the difference.
