I don't know if you are missing something, I think you may be mistaken though. Manual devices are the ones you have to press a button on. Most devcies bigger than the cigalikes are manual. Also warming the battery is not what you are after, fireing the juice Delivery System and warming its coil(s) to heat your jucie into a vapor are normally what you are after.
