Steeping is the term we use for letting eliquid age for best flavor. Many vendors make all liquids to order and with more complicated flavors (especially tobaccos) the true flavor takes time to develop. It's rather like cooking. The longer the ingredients simmer together, the better it tastes.

If you receive a liquid that you don't care for right away, put it up somewhere dark and cool for a few weeks and revisit it. Some liquids like Dekang are made well ahead of time in large batches and are usually steeped before they get to you, but most of the really popular vendors on the forum make each order fresh.

Hope that helps.

Thank you. I may not be the one who asked the question, but your answer certainly helped me.

So, could this be the reason I disliked Johnson Creek's Solstice at first, and days later I found I loved it so much it's become my fav?

Also, a few of my juices like chocolate flavors, bought in little sampler bottles, have NO taste. Will that develope eventually?

That is quite likely yes, also your taste buds take time to heal and your tastes will change over time. Many vapers also go through periods of dead tastebuds where nothing tastes right for a few hours to a few weeks. I've come across that a couple of times.

Switching flavors, using stronger flavors or eating/drinking different things can often reset them. Drinking a lot of water in general is imperative while vaping as it is so dehydrating.
