What is the actual size of a 510 connection?

I mean is it 1/4" or 7mm or whatever. Just wondering if you can use a correct size nut for a mod instead of an actual 510 connection that you would get at mad vapes.

You probably won't find a ready made nut, but you wont be the first to have looked for one.

Taps and dies are fairly cheap on amazon, and you can buy hex stock online or usually from local metal supply places or machine shops in short lengths. Then you can make your own, a lathe makes it easy but is not needed. You can also cut the head off a bolt and drill and tap it for a nut, or find a nut that you can drill out and tap. I have done all three
