I don't get it. I understand perfectly how an atty works, its quite simple. What can be so different about how electricity passes through a coil and heats it up?
There must be something I guess because I always see how people are saying "oh 901 is way better than 510," or "oh 510 is the best." They are all the same in function right? The only difference should be how it attaches to a device.
Dude we're not talk'n car engines here. We're talk'n about a simple coil made to complete a circuit. Not trying to be a doosh here but you serious are using that comparison?
I guess you do have a point that the size of the coil would play an important role on performance though.

I had a 901 way back when so they may have changed. I've had the opportunity to recently try the 510. Prefer the RN4081 over both, but that is with it powered by a mod.
I also have a DSE102 which is pretty much not talked about here, and it's a good little atty. Most of the time when I use it, it is powered by a mod too but it does good on the stock battery----in fact it is the one I carry if I go somewhere that I want a PV that looks like a cig.
