Hey everybody! I'm Dave and I'm fairly new to the world of vaping. I have a 510 right now, and hate it! It's extremely harsh and has poor vapor production even though I've tried straw mod, PTB mod, fluval mod, and pen-spring-wick mod. When I drip instead of using carts, the vapor production is better, but not good enough. I've tried replacing the battery and atomizer with no improvement. Also the taste is quiet boring and unspectacular, even used with my TastyVapor juice :( I've been off analogs for a few weeks now so it's not like my taste buds are numb or anything (even when on analogs, I was a very light smoker). I've had it with this thing!

I want an e-cig the is the best for the following:
-Vapor production, I want to see CLOUDS
-Taste, if my domesticly made, high quality juice says it tastes like blueberry cheesecake, then I want to taste it damnit:p
-Not huge, This rules out the hybrids for me. I could tolerate a penstyle, but I'd really prefer something that looks like a cigerette and is around the same size.

Thanks alot everybody!!!:hubba:

Typical e-cigs are great until you want something more from them. Until you can move past the "looks like a cigarette" frame of mind, you are pretty limited to your choices of devices.

Taste is rather subjective. A liquid you like might taste awful to another person. About the only thing you can do is try as many samples as you can. To enhance vapor, you could add some glycerine to some of your existing liquids.

Sounds like you want to buy a unicorn. Let me know when you find it.

That said, the closest thing I can think of would be the Kr808 with a shortie battery using VG juice.

However, with pure VG juice, you are going to lose some of the flavor in exchange for the vapor. So, damned if you do, damned if you don't.

First off - thank you for not asking "What is the best e-cig?" like so many people do. Nobody can answer that one. You asked specific questions, which makes it possible to give you an answer. So I will try to give you the best answer I can.

People here love the 510, and they love mods, so be prepared for some, shall we say, less than helpful answers. I did not care for the 510 either - too hot, everything tasted burnt, and the vapor didn't impress me. Mods, at least the one I have, work great, but they aren't comfortable in my hand. So, I know where you're coming from.

Right now, I am using a Blu / Volcano (exact same thing - L88b) I am happy with it. It covers the looks like a cigarette thing, the taste is good (as long as you don't vape it dry) and I get adequate vapor using fluval and filling carts myself. Adequate meaning about the same as a "light" analog. It has small carts, so you have to keep up on refilling, and 45 min battery life - but that is overcome with a passthrough or the PCC. Is it perfect? No. Does it do what I need it to do with the least amount of hassle? Yes.

My "closest to perfect" e-cig was the J118/ VX2/ 902. I say "was" because the batteries need replaced almost constantly, and hardly anyone sells them anymore. At least the automatic batts do, but that is what I prefer. Pushing the button on a manual batt is too unlike smoking a cigarette to me. This model has wonderful flavor, tons of vapor, was about the same size as the 120s cigs that I smoked, huge carts, easy to fill, etc. But what good is perfect if it you can't get them? I haven't tried buying direct from China, so I don't know about that. Modern Vapor has a new model 902 that is different from the old one that I liked so much. Maybe I will give that another try. I had a sample new 902, but didn't use it long enough to find out about the battery life issue.

901s are popular, and I have heard good and bad things about them. I have yet to try one myself. (I'm on my fifth e-cig model in as many months) I am sure someone will chime in on that model, and give you the pros and cons.

I was fond of my RN4072 penstyle. It is rather large, which is a drawbeack to me. The main problem was that it makes a whistle/ gurgle noise on inhale. After about three weeks, the flavor started to go on all of my atties. They all got sort of burnt tasting. Cleaning didn't help. If you don't mind the size, a little noise, and replacing atties, an RN4072 is a good choice. They are very reliable, give good vapor, and taste good - until you hit the three week mark.

I don't know how helpful that was. It is just one person's experience. Read through the model specific sub forums and you will find tons of (often conflicting) information. If you want to know more about the models I mentioned, or which vendors have them, feel free to PM me.

Best of luck. Finding the right e-cig is a journey!

I don't think there are any mini/pens that are giving off CLOUDS.
That is why people move onto HV and mods.

As far as flavor, Cartomizers on my 808 give better flavor than direct dripping on my 901 atty. I have read a lot about people complaining about flavor on the 510. That's all the info I got for you.

Wish I could be more helpful...Unfortunately finding the right PV for yourself is kind of like falling in love. You may have to spend some time and money trying out a few before you the one.

Bump for someone who's PV makes CLOUDS.

Here, Go to 3mins on this video and let it play.
YouTube - VaporKing Methol Cartomizer review
This is the "clouds" the KR808 makes.
It happens to be a review of menthol cartomizers from V4L, but it gives you an idea of the vapor production.

You may also want to check out his other videos, he reviews a bunch of hardware. Maybe you find something that fits your needs.
