I have seen the Blu and tried the Janty (which my friend said was one the highest user rated E-cigs..but who knows).

I want to spend under $100 for a starter kit, but there are so many brands etc. that I don't know where to start??? What is the best brand that gives the most vapor?

I smoke a pack of Parliament lights a day and will tolerate Camel lights as backup..Marlboro lights a distance 3rd...is there anything that comes close to this flavor?

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

Well there is a great link in the stickies at the top of this forum listing lots of information to help you make your choice. It's hard for anyone to recommend the best because what I am looking for may not be what you are looking for.

I will say that the joye 510 is one of the most popular and there is a version of it called the eGo that is the same but with longer lasting batteries. If I were starting out again (like I'm a real veteran, I only started a few weeks ago but I already changed once) I would get what I have now which is the joye eGo. It should make you happy unless you are stuck on having one that looks like a cigarette which it doesn't. It does however have long lasting batteries, great vapor and a strong throat hit which mimics a strong cigarette. cignot.com and nhaler.com seem to be the most recommended vendors. I got mine from nhaler.

Good luck

Well, since you said most vapor, the answer becomes pretty easy.
Get a 510 starter kit from Cignot.com

I guess a bunch of people who post after me will say the same, so this post will be redundant soon.
And in order to make it somewhat more useful, let me also say this...

It is intended to help stop THEM from trying to ban electronic cigarettes.

And make no mistake, that is exactly what THEY are trying to do.

And check out the Campaigning subforum here to learn more.
Although finding out what they are trying to do to us might just depress you.

Flavors are very subjective. Think it takes awhile to see what you really like. Who would have guessed I'd enjoy puffing on a mixture that's just a splash of Rum and a paper umbrella away from being a fruity drink!

As to the question of which e-cig, I suggest reading "Welcome to the Wonderful World of Vaping" in the library to get a better idea of what you're looking for. Being a heavy smoker (2-3 pks), I went straight for an eGo because I knew changing batteries would send me back to the analogs quickly. Kit prices vary, as does warranty, but you'll be able to get an eGo kit and juice for under $100 easily.

As to which produces the most vapor... that depends on the juice, PG to VG ratio, voltage, your vaping habits and which way the winds blowing.

Have fun getting started!

Ss there anything that hits with decent vapor & decent battery life that mimics a cigarette? Would a "Blu" be in that category?
Not in most people's opinion.

Like I said, I smoke Parliament lights...so I don't want anything like smoking Marlboro Reds, they taste like crap to me and kind of disgust me - which obviously depends on flavour you purchase I guess.
Forget about it tasting like what you used to smoke.
No, seriously, just forget about that.

Read the thread linked in my signature below, it will help a lot I think.

And another concern of mine...are the cartridge refills interchangeable between brands? Let's say xyz company goes out of business, and I have their E-Cig..am I screwed for buying future refills????
Are you talking about pre-filled cartridges, or refilling with juice you buy?

If the former, no, the cartridges have to fit the atomizer.
If the latter, then yes, all juices can be used for refilling anything.

Again I will suggest to read the thread linked in my signature below for more information.

I guess that as long as I get a decent nicotine hit it won't matter what the flavor is since I know it won't taste like an analog...so I should probably skip the "tobacco" flavored ones and just choose something tastey, eh?

So some brands use atomizers while others allow for juicers?

Sorry, I'm a noob but tired of payin 7$ a pack a day with the side effects I can feel in lungs, checking out ecigsavelives now...

OK after reading a bunch of info I'll ask for some guidance in choosing an E-cig brand...I would prefer one that looks like an analog that is manual, and can refill my own bought juices if possible (I do not plan on making my own juices, but it seems like prefilled can get expensive). A 2 hour battery life would be fine for me figuring that I smoke a cig in less than 5 minutes (100 minutes a day maximum) and would just recharge it overnight...

Is there anything that fits my preference???

The closest thing to satisfying those criterion is an Ego/Tornado.

Nothing that looks like an analog is going to last all day.
But the Ego/Tornado is pretty close to looking like a cigarette.

Or you could just make sure to get a PCC so you can charge batteries on the go.

Of course, in a few weeks or months you probably won't care what it looks like anymore.
But you'll have to learn that on your own, like we all do.

Take a deep breath.... breath in... breath out....
Now... I know it's all a bit overwhelming at first. My advice is to proceed directly to the ECF Library and read "The Wonderful World of Vaping". I know it's 6 posts, but they're really not that long and will answer many basic questions.

Now after you have enjoyed all 6 parts of that post, get your credit card ready and order!

Like most, I suggest an eGo to start with, great price performance ratio. You really can not go wrong. Yes, there are a lot of other options out there, but, just start. Somewhere. Just pull the trigger, experiment and enjoy and learn,- we all are in this together.

Just my :2c:
