Which RTA? What coils are you using? Do you make your own or you get prebuilt? Which cotton?

I don’t think the type of juice or flavor profile is what is causing your difference in flavor. Rebuildables are very tricky at times and you have to tweak every element to get it perfect to your liking, especially RTAs. You have to try different coil types, cotton brands, amount of cotton, coil height, and more.

After you get that part right then you can switch up flavors to see what difference that’ll make but first you have to sort out the other stuff because that’s probably what’s making you feel like the flavor isn’t sufficient.

If you’re just getting started I would suggest you stick with RDAs because they’re easier to wick and get right. After you get a bunch of practice on that and get the flavor correct then you can move on to RTA or RDTA.

When I first started with rebuildables I started with an RDA and that helped a lot, they’re much simpler. After a month or two I got an RTA and RDTA and I still had a hard time getting it perfect but my RDA experience helped me eventually figure it out. Every atomizer is different, so each one will have a slight learning curve to get it perfect but that’s what people like is that they can tweak things and make it perfect for themselves.

I'm new to the rebuildable world and learning as I go. My question is what is everyone's opinion on best types of liquids to use as far as flavor goes? I'm usually a fruit type if guy in my sub ohm tanks but can't seem to replicate anywhere close to the same amount of flavor I'm my RTA compared to when i use same flavors in my sub ohm? TIA
It's all about the build in rtas and rdtas. Stock coils are have come so far and are designed by professionals. Until we know what your using we can't be of much help. What wire type are you building with, ss, ni80, kanthal. Top air or bottom airflow, have you played with coil size and position? Are your stock coils mesh or round wire? Top af or bottom af? Building is a journey learning what coil size, wire type works for you personally. For myself my happy place is top air, 2.5-3.5mm, stainless steel tricore coils. Rdta will have better flavor simply because the coil is closer to your mouth like an rda. Bottom af in a rta will have better flavor but if the wicking is off it will leak. It's a journey. Youtube taught me how to build along with tips from other vapers on the forums and shop employees and customers. You'll likely find you prefer different juices in different tanks simply because of the build, af,etc.

If your RTA isn’t delivering the same flavor as your sub-ohm tank, try using higher PG e-liquids (50/50 or 60/40) for better flavor concentration, adjust your wicking technique, and experiment with Clapton or mesh coils for better heat distribution. Also, slightly restrict airflow to enhance flavor. For top-quality fruit-flavored e-liquids perfect for RTAs, check out Norwest Vapes!

When it comes to RTAs (Rebuildable Tank Atomizers) and RDAs (Rebuildable Dripping Atomizers), the best flavors depend on the type of coils, wicking, and airflow you prefer. However, certain e-liquid profiles tend to perform exceptionally well in rebuildables due to their ability to deliver richer, more intense flavors compared to standard tanks.

Dessert and custard flavors, like vanilla custard, butterscotch, and caramel tobacco, tend to shine in RTAs and RDAs because the warm coil enhances their depth and creaminess. Fruity flavors, such as mango, berry blends, and citrus mixes, also work great, offering vibrant, refreshing hits. Menthol and ice flavors can be intense, but in RDAs with good airflow, they provide an incredibly smooth and cooling experience.

For those who love sweetness, candy and slush-style flavors deliver bold taste and pair well with low-resistance builds, ensuring thick clouds and a satisfying throat hit. Since rebuildables can handle higher VG liquids (70VG or more), they’re ideal for maximizing vapor production without sacrificing flavor quality.

If you're looking for premium e-liquids designed for RTAs and RDAs, check out Norwest Vapes for a variety of high-VG juices, from dessert blends to fruity and icy flavors, all at competitive prices with fast UK shipping!
