I've been searching and I only see references to "the Canadian e cig climate" but no information otherwise. Is Nic juice still banned in Canada while all the hardware is possibly subject to it as well? Stores are cropping up locally and they are BUSY. Have to wait in line at any given point in the day to get your goods. Glad to see someone is willing to do it.

If you go to Rainbow Vapors website and click on the 'legalities' link there is a pretty thorough rundown on where nicotine ejuice stands. Basically there are no Canadian laws for ejuice. Health Canada would like you to 'think' otherwise but the ladies at Rainbow have chased down the liars and they have nothing. I'd call it a 'damn informative' read.

It's illegal to import nicotine here over .04 ml without a liscense to do so. HC simply has a don't use ecig warning out.

Canada is kinda in between the EU and the US, I believe HC is happy with the current way legislation is written. Not a problem at all here.

No law against selling eLiquid here, just the importation. Ergo were allowed to buy eLiquid.

Going on record as saying HC might change this once the EU legislation has been finalized, and the FDA has done same, it's my belief HC well adopt a law or whatever somewhere in between those two.

So what, you're allowed to import a single drop of pure nicotine? lol

Nope, that would be over the .04 limit, lol. According to HC

However interpretation has yet to be challenged in a court of law with any new info studies etc available today.

On a secondary note, Post Canada must be making a fortune on shipping vapemail. I'm sure our Government has noticed.

Health Canada won't change its stance. Hopefully this will be in the next election about Vaping.

All I noticed is that the news have been covering e-cigarettes for awhile and from the feedbacks of "normal" citizen, it is a mixed bag of "where you hear what from". Some said that it is a no brainer to switch from analog while others said the opposite.

What Does The Law Say? | A Canadian Guide to Electronic Cigarettes and Related Canadian Law is a good place to start.

Food for thought on Health Canada. Pacific salmon have a 2 to 4 year life cycle that includes migration that takes some species pretty close to the northern Japan. Keep in mind the Fukushima melt down and all of the radioactive material that got dumped into the pacific ocean in June 2011. The last time Health Canada tested pacific salmon for radiation was in Aug, 2011, just a couple of months after the Fukushima disaster.

I question just who Health Canada is looking out for?

More bully attitude from Health Canada... Not about nic ejuice but still about how Health Canada operates. Who is pulling the strings?

Health Canada crackdown kills family business - Manitoba - CBC News

From the story...
"Swarath hired a former Health Canada chemist to test the products independently. He found no trace of pharmaceuticals and concluded Health Canada’s testing was flawed. Another expert agreed.

“We called them on it and we followed up on it. We didn’t just drop off the face of the planet like they figured we would,” said Swarath."

and...

"Durazest for Men" was recalled twice because of that, in 2010 and 2011, but its distributor is still in business.

“What makes [their product] safe and mine not safe, when [Health Canada] failed to prove that mine was actually contaminated?” said Swarath.

“Tests did prove these other guys were contaminated, but they allowed them to work through the process and get licensed anyway.”

The main thing I don't understand is that the Government may make 6 billion in tax revenue from cigarettes, however they lose at least 2-3 times that much in additional health care costs relating to smoking related illness and disease. It would make so much more sense for them (at least financially) to push people who currently smoke into vaping. Maybe I'm just too logical to understand the workings of our government, but I'm at a loss trying to figure out their motives here.

Agreed 100%.

Let me sum up some more numbers for yah,

1. There's money going to BG from BT that u don't know of.
2. Most corner variety stores make 75% of ther earnings through smokes and lottery ticket sales.
3. Add in all the closures of plants and farms and stores selling smokes etc, and that number complied with the above comes out to way more money made then lost due to cigarettes.

Now add in Vapeing, bonus bonus bonus,

1. Tax collected, via sales and income.
2. Private money to BG
3. Liscensing fees collected.
4. Lower health claims.

Our BG can have it all, and sooner or later they well figure that out, and they can appease both the Vapers and the ANTZ in the same process, with regulations etc.

The problem lies with BG being greedy ...

Whatever happened to free enterprising?

Damn gov. wants it's filthy hands on everything. So some guy came up with a solution to choking his bleeding lungs into the sink every night ... leave him be for christ sakes and let him pass on the goodness to others i say.

Enough with the bloody taxman i say. Our gov. sucks ... end of story. More and more, i see us going down the same hellish road the states are on ... and more and more i just want to move away from here. Dont get me wrong ... but i hate the US influence bleeding over the border with every passing election.
