Asked this in another forum but didn't get much response. So I thought I would ask here as well.

What's the differences between a 306 and a 510 atty? They both fit on 510 threading right??? Does one hold more drops in the "cup" than the other for dripping? Is one physically wider or taller than the other?

Or are the internals different such as one having thicker nichrome? My experiences have only been with Joye 510 attys and Boge 2.0 cartos. No problems there, but I see posts where people saying the the 306's are "da bomb" and wanted to know why.

Looking for the best atty for dripping on a 3.7v Roughstack (maybe try out 6v in the future).

I am not too sure about the internal workings of the atty itself. However the physical differences between the two are quite pronounced. In my opinion the 306 atty I own has far surpassed any 510 atty I have ever used.

The 510's have a metal shroud around them. The 306 is just the exposed atty and requires a 306 drip tip to use.

The 306's seem to run hotter than the 510's as well, producing more and warmer vapor.

That is just my experience though. Others may be able to get more into specifics for you. I can say that I love my 306 lr for testing juices and for just dripping while I am at home.

So they are completlly different animals
    A drip tip fits inside a 510, and outside a 306

Don't let the pics decieve you, you can completly hide the 306 atty inside a 510 shell
