Dripping is still vaping... but instead of a sealed juice "container" feeding a wick or wicks until the juice runs low, dripping is you manually feeding juice to the wick(s) that are inside a relatively open juice reservoir. Yes... flavor is excellent.

There are dripper cartos that you pop on, prime and start vaping. Large diameter rebuildable drippers called RDAs that you must build your own coil and wick assemblies... using 1 to 4 (and even more) separate coils. Here's the guts of your basic RDA... simple huh? ;)

You "drip" in your juice, vape till the wicks start to dry up, and drip some more. Drip - vape - repeat. :)

As said above: Dripping is a style of vaping.

Drip a few drops in your atomizer, vape until dry, and repeat.

I personally HATE DRIPPING WITH A PASSION!!!

It's a enormous pain in my ....!!

You just haven't tried my quad cotton build. I've posted it quite a few times but here it is again. It'll last a LONG!! time.

State of Flux and some others are getting a little "advanced" on you. There's other ways to drip other than with an RDA.

A simpler and less expensive way is to use a common 510 drip atomizer. These appear to look like a cartomizer from the outside. However, unlike a cartomizer a drip atomizer has no polyfill fiber within the cylinder to hold the e-liquid. It can only use 3 - 4 drops of liquid at a time. The person is able to vape several puffs before needing to drip another 3 - 4 drops into the atty.

For some people, this is the primary way that they vape. They prefer this method because there are no silicone wicks or polyfill material to possibly alter the pure flavor of the e-liquid. Other vapors like to sample flavors via dripping because they don't have to use a larger quantity of juice in a tank-like device just to test taste a new flavor.

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
Dripping is great when you're sampling new flavors or trying to remember what an old flavor tastes like and you don't want to fill up a tank until you know.

I have an extra long HH.357 that I just screw on the top of any device with a 510 connector and drip a few drops in. There are cheaper atomizers but this is the one I first bought and, since I take care of it, it's lasting me okay. Not that it's been all that long since I got it, relatively speaking. I'm still a total vaping n00b even if I've learned everything I know extremely quickly.

I've got more advanced setups for entertainment dripping but I haven't had the energy to deal with them yet. I'm pulling out of a life rut right now.

drip atomizers

If one were to get a 510 atomizer would she need a new battery or could she use her Visions Spinner? And who sells the 510 dripping atomizer ? I think I would like to try it, then maybe move up to the big girl atomizer.

Somewhere out there
Thank you, that video really told the story...I am too lazy to do 3 drips at a time since I vape continuously...I would spend more time dripping then vaping!

That's where the rebuildable types win out over the plain 510 atomizers. Leaving a long tail of wick to hold liquid, I can get 8 to 10 drops in the one I use. There are other styles that have a bit of a juice cup at the bottom that can hold even more. I don't drip all the time, but times it's good for flavors I don't want a full tank of.

This is the type I use ERA Clone with Adjustable Air Flow - Sun-Vapers.com It's a good match to a ego spinner/twist type battery.

For someone who doesn't know anything about dripping and is asking the question the OP is asking, I figure a plain ol' 510 atomizer is a better place to start....lol

Could a bottom type atomizer be used as a dripping atomizer? I currently have a TON (well 12) of dual coil atomizers (post office screwed up)...

I know I have a lot to learn and should just read, read, read.

Just asking.

No, it wouldn't work.

But really, I DO suggest picking up an inexpensive extra long 510 atomizer just to check dripping out. Extra long because there's less chance of hot juice spitting at you....lol

If nothing else it will DEFINITELY save you a ton of effort when it comes to testing new juices you buy because you won't have to empty and clean out tanks for just a taste.

Okay, here are my choices:

510 Replacement Atomizer
Sealed 510 Low Resistance Atomizer - V2.2

I am so new...I buy liquid in the 30ml size...I have yet to purchase a fruit flavor..only nicotine and menthol...I recon I think they will taste hinkey...cause I never smoked an apple or a grape or a strawberry?

I just ordered 2 5-packs of Joye 510 atty's from DigitalCigzz yesterday... $9.95 for the 5 pack. To get the more high-performance atty... the HH357, go to AvidVapors. They're about $23 for the HH357, but they do have cheaper models. I just started getting into dripping a couple of weeks ago and I'm loving it! I enjoy switching flavors at the drop of a hat. You cant 'drip-and-drive', but if you're on the computer, watching TV, etc... the flavor can't be beat!
