Hi...I'm going nuts trying to find the final answer of whether its ok
to drip into the atomizer. I read many times that you should drip into the atomizer for the SD. I think it even said, "don't ever let it get dry".
Then I receive e-liquid in the mail from Johnson Creek with instructions and tips that say "for longer atomizer life, DO NOT drip into atomizer". ARGH.

Anyways...I have all kinds of product and NO e-cigarette device! Waiting for 1 to be mailed back for repairs, and the other to get here in the first place.
I'm not a patient person....

Drip all you want the atomiser is going to wear out anyway at some point. OK it cost six bucks and last about two weeks that is what was spent on a pack of analogs daily. Personally I wouldn't fuss over it just pop a new one in take out the old maybe try to clean later certainly don't fret over it. What you are asking is a matter of opinion the way I see it. Confusing though it can be.

In answer to the OP first: Dripping (placing liquid directly on the atomizer) can shorten your atomizers life. Johnson Creek is correct in stating that. Letting your atomizer go dry will ALSO shorten its life. The correct usage is to make sure that you are using a cartridge that has not gone dry, this means that your atomizer will not be dry.

That being said, many Ecig users enjoy dripping/dipping for many reasons. I find that atomizers are cheap enough and disposable enough that I don't mind (potentially) reducing its lifetime by using it contrary to manufacturers specifications. :)

What is a passthrough?: A passthrough is a battery replacement. It screws into the atomizer like a normal battery, however it has a cord which plugs into a steady power source, usually a USB port. Don't ask me why they call it a passthrough tho. :p
