Noob with a capital N - I just got my DSE103 in today and it comes with 6 cartridges (mine had 2 high, 2 med, and 2 light) and one...that was partially screwed into the battery.

Well, I thought that one was just for show but screwed it on and drew on it - and it vaped nicely - no real flavor but decent vapor.

My stupid question is; is this just the primer or shipping cart ? If not, is it high, med low, zero - does it have a flavor?

Part of me hopes I am not the first to ask such a stupid question - but I was unable to find the answer and would VERY MUCH appreciate input before I vape this first cartridge.

Awesome device otherwise - thanks in advance.

Great feedback and information THANK YOU!

I removed the cartridge that came attached to the battery and att (and to my embarassement it had nothing in it so I guess the att was just primed(?)) and then I attached one of my nicotine flavored cartridges - it works amazingly well. While I guess I do not have any experience with vapor to compare it to the high cart is actually a pretty strong kick if I hit it hard. Now it will be interesting to see if I can wean from the other chemicals the tobacco companies lace their products with to keep you addicted.

Now I guess we will just see how long the US government will allow me to chose this over a regular carcinogen laced rolled cigarette.

Thank you flowerpeddle and mamacat for taking the time to help a NOOB out - and hopefully I will be up to speed soon and pass on the goodness.:)

Welcome to ECF - Lonestar!!

I do not have the DSE103 but was able to find this for you:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vaporoptions/20288-dse103-sophomore-video.html

I ran a general search for DSE103 and came up with this (I hope it works *fingers crossed*):
e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat - Search Results

I hope these links help a bit and again welcome to the forum!! :)

Howdy Mama;
Just an FYI in case you didn't know, the DSE103 batteries, and atomizers are interchangeable with the RN4081 BUT If you use a DSE103 atty, you need a DSE103 Cart. RN4081 Atty needs an RN4081 Cart.

batts & attys interchange, but the carts don't.

Cheers;

I just wanted to bring this out in the open. 2 of my 4081 batteries bit the big one at the same time, and most suppliers are out of stock. I just ordered 6 DSE103 batts for my 4081. Same price, and in stock. No problem.:rolleyes:

Thanks for the clarification JD. Sounds like the DSE901/RN4075, with the exception of the cart issue. See we count on your wisdom and advice all the time! :)

Hey, just thought of something else. The "cart" looking shipping caps on the atomizers for the RN4081 & M401, can be used if you put the insides in. My outside cart sleeves warp and crack from the atty heat. I've been taking the insides of the cracked carts and dropping them in the atty protector sleeves. Works like a charm.

That is a great idea and it is a great way to recycle, too! ;) I am all about being green ~ guess it is just the "tree hugger" in me. :)
