I've also been told that poly-fill can be used as well. This can be purchased from a craft store quite readily, and in huge quantities compared to our vaping needs. Sure, you'd need two or three bags to stuff a craft pillow nice and firm, but when all you need is a pinch of the stuff to fill a cart... seems like a single bag would go a very long way.

I have tried both blue foam and the polyfil. My Walmart doesn't carry the Marineland Rite size-U blue foam filter, so I bought an Aqua-Tech filter. Not the same thing! Basically was just blue polyfil, lol.

So I went back and got some polyfil. What they call the "crib size". Its a layered roll, just about the right thickness. That worked better than the factory fill that comes with the carts, but still wasn't exactly perfect.

Finally made it over to Petsmart and found the blue foam. It works pretty well. You just have to experiment with the size of the plug. Too thick and it won't wick, too thin and it leaks.

I'd say, to start cut the foam about 5/16ths inch wide and 3/4inch long. Started off doubling it over and inserting in the cart with tweezers. That was too dense so I just use a single thickness now. Lasts 2 or 3 days before I have to replace it. Holds 8-9 drops of juice.

Right now I'm using a scouring pad. The thin green material, exactly like this:

I picked up a 10-pack at a local dollar store, and they work very well. They are porous enough to let lots of liquid in and hold it without absorbing and trapping it like the standard polyfill does, and it wicks very well, too. They're also the perfect thickness, so all I have to do is cut out a rectangle a little over 1/2" long and a little over 1/4" wide. I stuff it in the cartridge and see how far down it goes, then pull up slightly to cut off any excess so that it sits down inside the cart with about 1-2mm clearance from the top of the cart (you can experiment with optimal height for your cartridge type). I like them because they're firm and stay put when inserted and don't get caught on the atty bridge.

Not these probably wouldn't work well for eGoMega carts unless you double the thickness maybe.

I'm currently using the PTB filler method. It's Lipton Pyramid tea bags. I've used polyfill, blue-foam, the no-filler mod and brass pipe screens methods and so far the PTB filler is the best I've tried.

Easiest to refill, lasts longest, gives the best draw and most vapor.

You can read/see all about it in the Tips & Tricks/Cart mods forum.

The blue foam, scouring pads and sponges scare me. I don't think those things were meant to be heated or burned and with no idea of what they release when burned, I'm opting out. I'm dripping now primarily...I still have some poly fill from carts that I use when dripping isn't an option.

The tea bag option is something I'm gonna try though. (for when I need a filler)

Although the pyramid bags are good temporary filler, you will get tired of always cleaning/folding them. The sponge/foam is the easiest to clean imo.

Hmmm. I think think they're about the same or maybe even a little easier. They can be removed pretty easy with some tweezers, then just hold them under running tap water and give them a few squeezes with a towel, then let dry. I don't unfold them much - if at all, just open at the fold.

And you get the benefits of drinking the tea...
