Wicking Material?

Has anyone used any alternative wicking material in their carts? I've read that either polyester batting or aquarium filter Fluval works. Any other ideas? (I would have asked on the UK forum site but as it's my first post the site quite annoyingly won't let me) Thanks G

I used the "Marineland Rite Size U": Marineland Magnum Foam Sleeve "Rite-Size U" 3pk. you can get it at Petco or anyplace with aquarium stuff.

Oh, also you can use the "Pyramid Tea Bag mod" using the empty tea bags from pyramid tea:
