What is The Real Deal with RY4?

Hello people...I am here to hopefully not get too many people ...... off, a few at lest.

I really would like to know what the big deal is with RY4. In my second week of vaping I came across a grimmgreene video where he reviewed 3 ry4's and according to him all ry4's taste the same. I being stupid, yes at that point stupid, not ignorant. I went out and purchased the ry4 he was reviewing. Before that purchase I went all over you tube and heard nothing but praise for this juice. I actually thought that god made this. Well I got it, I vaped it, and it flat out sucked. It was totally unvapable. I still have it here and after 6 weeks, it still sucks.

I think I bought at the vapor station, something that had a vapor in it. Below is the video by Grimmgreene. I hear that an Ry4 has a tobacco base with vanilla and caramel, so I have to ask where is the fourth flavor...I am going to assume that every vendor uses those 3 plus something else. I do not understand how someone who has been vaping for 2 years and has this great following can say that all ry4's are the same.

Below, I also have the thread where a vapor has this big roundup of ry4s and according to him, they are all different...who is right and who is wrong. The thread also list what is thus far my favorite juice which is DULSIS. I did not know that this was an ry4 because the taste on this is a 10 out of 10 while the ry4 that I purchased on the grimmgreen video was a complete zero.

The most interesting thing I find in the thread is that the vaper or vapor guy(do not know how to refer to him) has the Dulsis at 9. Now me being (at this point, I consider myself ignorant, not stupid) very curious because he has my juice ranked 9 in just this one class of juices. That alone tells me there are hundreds of juices out there better than dulsis. I cannot at this point even consider such a thing when I have tried at least 70 juices and 68 suck.

He has bwb ranked one...I find myself in a situation where I have to try this juice, but I am only going to invest 6 or 7 dollars. That is what I think of juice reviews at this point in time. The curiosity is killing me..bwb only allows one bottle for each sale...please people...is this juice that good. I would love to hear every one's thoughts on this. I do not think I will get too many snide remarks on this thread. But I do guarantee everyone, especially the big following of bwb... If that juice sucks I am going to let everyone know it, and of course if it is great I will give it praise. I will buy about 20 dollars worth of bwb, but not the 3 that phil busardo reviewed...according to him, They all tasted like rubber.


I would like to say one final thing. I enjoy starting threads because I love some of the post that are directed at me and go off the subject completely...I just love it. Also, I usually get tossed off a forum in the first week so I am doing real good on ecf. As long as I behave myself.

That's all folks...I really would love to know why this juice is praised...if it taste like the one I had, then it must suck.

One thing you have to consider, is that taste is very subjective and what you hate, others might love and vice versa. Some peoples taste buds can pick up tiny differences in flavor, some cant. I've tried over 50 juices athis point and there was only 1 that I didn't really care for (some tobacco that was prefilled in my eGo-T tank) but in now way would I consider it "unvapeable". Reading your posts just has me questioning if vaping is really the thing for you. . . you talk about how you like smoking, how you can't stand any of the juices, and that you aren't too concerned about the health effects from staying with analogs (remember, just because you dont feel any ill effects yet, doesn't mean they aren't there).

Vaping isn't for everyone . . . and I think you might be one of those folks who just prefer analogs and probably won't ever enjoy vaping as much as some do.

bwb's ry4 isnt what its hyped up to be (imo). its vapable, actually better than many of the other ry4's out there, but i was expecting it to be something "out of this world", which it isnt......to me.
i bought 30ml of it and it wont go to waste. i like bwb's cola better than any other liquid ive tried. (ive tried about 60 of them from various vendors).

I know I loved smoking but I figured my luck on the health might run out. As far as juice is concerned...I do like 2 juices that I can vape all day, but I am curious to see if I like anything else. I am satisfied with just 2 if that is all I like. The problem is that the vendor is out of stock. I have to vape what I have. I like vaping...it is much more fun and interesting than smoking. I also have to admit that I loved to smoke, but I will give this I try...I have not had one cig since September so I think that is pretty good. Thanks for the post

i never tried ry4 as i do not care much for vanilla but also have seen the video and seen that e-liquid mentioned a lot in the past but im curious as aw heck about it and have put it into an order cart in past only to delete it before committing.
I enjoy 1 to date since May when i started vaping and thats a simple 555.
Recently i thought i better start trying some others as a backup in case i cannot get my 555 from the same vendor i always order from so i ordered some Virginia from the vendor and he send an extra gift bottle.
Well it was yuck and i mean yuck smelled like my sons gym socks before going into the laundry and tasted horrible, i left it out opened for a week and same thing then 2 weeks same thing.
I should get whats called "super nutty" in mail tomorrow or the next and hope its not smelly socks .
I was an ex smoker at 2pad for almost 40 years and enjoyed them but started feeling the effects of them and decided to vape only.

I think Grimm Greens review of the RY4's was the old chinese recipe since his review was in 2009, Not sure tho. All the new ry4's try to replicate the old ry4 or just put there own spin on it. I have tried a few different ry4 since i started vaping. I liked them all but they all tasted different from each other. I have only been vaping for 8 months so i never tried the old chinese ry4.

If you like Dulsis try Ikenvapes RY4 gold. That juice is in my opinion the best RY4 on the planet. I'm dripping it into a 2.5 ohm atty and flashin' it at 5 volts aaaaaaaaaahhh nervana. It also is very tasty in a carto which normally mutes the flavor some but RY4 Gold has plenty of flavour to spare. not kiddin' get some.

That sucks that the vendor is out of stock of the juice you like . . . maybe try swapping some of your juices that you don't like for some new ones in the swapping section. . . that way you aren't out any more money and you can test some additional juices. That's good that you haven't smoked since September, I'm sure its been tempting since the juices aren't hitting the sweet spot for ya.

Are you mostly interested in tobacco juices? Have you tried the offerings from Nite Lite Vapor? They have some good tobacco flavors. Hope you find what you are looking for!

Frankster, have you tried flavorless juice yet? I would suggest trying vg flavorless, pg flavorless, and a vg/pg mix. That will let you figure out if the base of the liquid is the unsavory part. I myself prefer a mentholated fruit flavor in my liquids, but everyone has different preferences. If you would like to try different flavors cheaply, vikingvapor is pretty cheap and adjustable in the pg/vg mix. Best of luck!

The Grimmgreen review was a good one on its time, this video is very old when the true RY4 from Dekang was still available. I think Dekang RY4 disapears by May 2010. The actual Dekang RY4 is good but not close to the first one. The RY4 from Ikenvapes and Jantys are very good ones, actually the RY4 from Janty was the first RY4 available on the market when introduced by 2007.

I would pay anything to vape again the original Dekang RY4.

I would pay anything to vape again the original Dekang RY4.

The closest i've found so far to the original DK RY4 is Vaporstation's RY4, it's not very strong flavor but just by smelling the liquid you'll know it's that same sweet stuff

Did I miss where you listed the equipment you are using? It seems to me that 68 out of 70 juices sucking for you might indicate more of a hardware problem.

Case in point: All the juices I love to drip suck in my eGo tank and my first try of a CE2 cartomizer.

Having said that, I personally don't care much for RY4 myself, Vapor Station or not. And since you mentioned VS, I must say that I've found several of his flavors to my liking. Particularly his VS4 and Tampa. I even like his Frisco. A very odd flavor, every time I vape it I think of feet lol.

Hello there...I use a k-go and the silver bullet...Because of my experience with the ry4 from Vapor Station...I feel that the other ry4's are going to be similar and I am afraid to waste my money. I know I am probably wrong but I rather be safe than sorry.

Thanks for the advice on the Frisco...It seems that alot of people like that. That said, I also heard almost every reviewer rave about Boba's Bounty and I thought it taste like vomit, but that's me. I do not like attys because I vape so much, I would not really want to do that.
