The only* raised screw on the aga-t2 is skinnier then the rest. It has its own post with cut outs.

Is it there to allow air back in to the tank like a vent screw ?

If so why cant I turn it open ? Its the only screw that I cant turn

It's an additional negative post for running a u-shaped silica wick. The silica would go into the regular wick hole and the hole in front of the negative post and you connect your coil to the positive and negative posts.

Ok so if i understand correctly it is a second negative post for use with a U wick.

Got it thanks.

Now that I know that

Is it recommended to leave one of the other screws out to allow air back into the tank? I noticed my #500 mesh wick once I started using a Vg tobacco flavor juice it was not wicking as good as it was with a thinner juice.

I feel like it started to get a negative vacuum preventing juice flow unless I take out a screw ?

Is this like a common practice ?

I actually don't use ss mesh wicks so I'm the wrong person to ask, but I've read about people leaving a fill screw out to aid wicking, and I've also read that if your wick is rolled properly and isn't choking in the wick hole you "shouldn't" have to. Using a vertical genesis style silica wick I've never had to leave a fill screw out, though I do have to tilt for proper wicking.

You will get better juice flow/wicking with the juice fill screw off, but this makes the tank liable to leak juice if not kept upright. I experience optimum wicking with the screw off and tilting my battery device during a draw so that the wick hole is exposed to the juice in the tank. This is called the "Genesis tilt" technique.

I think I will primarily be using the technique you have described.:thumb:

i run a SS mesh wick and i use the raised negative terminal.
i leave the unthreaded wick hole open, and i use the threaded hole next to the neg terminal for my wick.
that hole lines up better with the firing button on most of my devices.
plus i felt silly leaving a perfectly functioning neg terminal empty in favor of a screw as a terminal.
im sure i could get an extra wrap or two on my coil if i used the screw instead of the neg terminal, but right now ive got 32g in there and i dont want any more wraps. maybe in the future i will use the screw and put some of my 28g in there.
