I'm wrapping 30ga Kanthol around 28ga Kanthol 14 times for excellent vapor production. I tried 20 wraps, but when I dry fired it to make sure it was heating properly, they instantly went white hot and popped. These "Ultra Nano coils" as I've dubbed them are sitting on a cotton cloud of Cali Pro Venture which I believe is 60/40 VG/PG respectively at 6mg of Nic. I can put out clouds with EASE. Have you seen/made anything smaller or tighter?

You fired the coil when the 28 gauge was still inserted? That's nearly a dead short. Practically no current would go through the 30 gauge wire. That would explain why it popped instantly. Hopefully the battery is ok.
No, of course not. I'm running 18650 35A, and I pushed too much juice through it I guess. I'm using a Sentinel M16 with the Patriot RDA
