Yea they were using it cleaning all the metal stuff around the office building, and they had a whole box full, so I was just like hell no ones going to miss a couple of these

yeah, you want to be careful with the engraving if you use a nail buffer. I used just the buffing part on the engraving (didn't think it would harm it much) and it lightened it quite a bit.

It still looks good though

Now I just use a wet paper towel to clean it and it works fine...doesn't make it brilliant though, just keeps the brass clean and burnished looking, which I like

I like the rough look. It's very steampunk. It's very doctor who. I haven't shined a damn thing, and I WILL NOT!!!!! Plus, chicks dig rugged. My GG looks like it has killed a few guys. It's only a matter of time before a line of women forms to touch things.

I keep mine all messed up too, it looks even worse since I accidentally used a nail file instead of buffer! I would like to paint it pink though!

I anodized some GGs ckc but what you get is a mat version. Its not shiny at all. I liked it but the most people wanted shiny so I stop it.

I actually broke down and shined the crap out of my GGT. I ended up removing the laser etching, so I'm going to get it redone locally. It's like a mirror now. All seams line up perfect and the brass glows. The line of girls that had formed raised their eyebrows at me and said "you are so not brutal" and walked away. *sniff* All ten of my wives laughed at me.

I have just said on another post, if there is an option to have a mirror finish to the GG, I would opt for that.

After all the shine is what first attracts you to the Bullet, so the GG, with etching applied after buffing would make it gleam ...gorgeous !!

Mine STILL looks rough and ready. Maybe one day I'll stop loitering around the meat counter at Tescos to try the nail buffer aisle... but really, I dread to think...
