And to answer your question, I often don't even start vaping now until late in the day.

But when I was smoking, I would have a cigarette first thing every single morning...
And when I say every single morning, I mean every single morning...
And when I say first thing, I mean first thing...

And if anyone tried to stop me from having that cigarette the very first thing every morning, they were playing with fire.

I was a 2 pack a day smoker until I started vaping about a month ago. I basically vape all day long for the time being, toke here, toke there. Due to the all day vape so to speak I toke about 1.5ml of a 24mg mix first thing in the morning with my coffee to get me going. Then drop off to a 6-8mg mix throughout the rest of the day. Every know and again I might feel a little saucy and hit the 24mg batch at lunch but not very often.

I am trying vaping with a similar thought. I found NRTs to provide nicotine either/or too much, too slow. Figured vaping was a good way to control the amount of nicotine more ... though I'm not convinced it's a good approach, especially with so many unknowns with vaping. i tend to end up taking in a little too much nicotine with vaping, because it's so easy and hard to know the real amounts of nicotine used as I'm using a lower end device, and may give variable amounts of nicotine. Vaping helps break the habit a little, though there are some habits more entrenched than others. I've broken the after meal and others. The hardest one to break is when you need a bit of a jump start to get moving or just to clear your head from other thoughts. The hardest part I guess is finding other ways of jump starting and clearing your head. I, as well, don't think nicotine itself is really that addictive, ... Agree, that's it the psychological part that's the bigger issue ... it's been ingrained for a long time. ... ... Well, it's probably just the thinking that it would be hard to do without it ... or something ... takes a while to adapt new coping strategies.

I use mine like an NRT my goal was to get off cigs which i did day 1 with ecig , my goal is to get off nic and not need to vape period. my smoke ritual was 1 cig every 2 hours -10 hits. i did that for the last few months before i switched to ecig.
I do the same with my ecig every 90 minutes to 2 hours and max of 10 hits ( usually i only do 6-8) and i am using 12mg.

I hope to get to 0 nic and figure I will keep some 0 nic juice around "incase" that being a super super stressful situation that might want to throw me back into smoking and i can just turn to the vape instead.

it's been 20 days and the routine is working well for me personally, but i do think part of it is psychological and thats the part i am breaking by controlling time and amount.
