Yeah, we all have to find our level. I tried cutting down to 16mg and ended up chain vaping to keep up with the cravings. 18mg to 24mg is what I use most of the time. There are people who vape 6mg and even 0mg. Also, if you're vaping and smoking, you're getting a lot of nicotine. Sometimes people are more addicted to some of the other 3999 chemicals in cigarettes and find themselves still having withdrawal symptoms despite high nic juice. But, once you find your sweet spot, it gets pretty easy to stay mellow.

11mg seems to be working a little better for me ... matches the level of nicotine I've been used to.

Seems whether I'm using 18mg or 11mg ... the desire for a few cigarettes is still there, but that part seems to driven mostly by habit or curiosity .. or remembering previous perceived benefits from smoking ... which really are not there if you already have enough nicotine .. from vaping. The extra nicotine didn't really do much for me. To be honest, I think it was the extra buzz from the higher nicotine dose that convinced me it was better.

Curious to know of anyone, are using lower than 11mg to replace smoking, when they are still in the first few weeks of vaping.

Curious as well, from users experience, if anyone found a dosage level of nicotine, more than 0, thru vaping, that doesn't have significant withdrawal. A level you can use without creating a dependency?

i quit smoking/started vaping same day. started with 12mg. when i finish what i got going to stepdown to 9mg.

Curious if others experience the same ....

I found thru previous use that NRTs, seem to put more nicotine in my system then smoking does?

Probably because I alter smoking behavior to control nicotine intake that more suits me. even though I would normally use 20 cigs per day. Things like less shallow inhales or quit exhales or only taking a few puffs on a cigarette ... things I do without thinking about it ... learned behavior over time.

With NRT use I noticed an increase in panic feelings during withdrawal, or falling nicotine levels.

With vaping, during for the first days of use, mixing with periodic use of cigarettes, say 5 per day, I didn't really notice any difference other than smoking less, no adverse effects.

However, now, I am finding that vaping nicotine, with about the same cigarette use, that feelings of panic/urgency, a sense of increase worry, are increasing. This also seems to occur during withdrawal (falling nicotine levels) and normal use when nicotine levels are topped up. This occurs even with small amounts of vaping (10 puffs or so) at nicotine level 18mg.

This is different from smoking for me, withdrawal (falling nicotine levels) usually either increase frustration or sleepiness ... there was never any "panic" type feelings.

Curious whether others experienced this? And what they did if anything to resolve it.

I would switch to 12mg right away. Same happend to me .. I smoked 2 packs/day and first had 18mg juice. I had to switch to 12mg for awhile then work my way up to 18mg.

Also there is a delay in the nic hitting you with vaping. Some say it takes 15-20 min to get the effect of the nic when vaping. Whereas with smoking we get the hit almost immediately. If this be so, then we newbies have to be careful to not overdo.
Just my 2€
:)

Yeah, I did a *job* on myself the other day.

We automatically quit a cigarette when we have the right dose, vaping has too much of a delay. When I was 1/2 smoking 1/2 vaping, I didn't have a problem but the first time I vaped 3/4 of a day, I overdid.

My overdose lasted throughout the evening and all morning the next day. I had been vaping 24 mg. The trouble is, when I get that kind of anxiety, I want to puff, and *that* didn't help, of COURSE.

So I bought some 0 nic juice and now I keep a bottle around, and switch to that if I start noticing I'm a little hyper-alert. I wish there was a juice with a little dandelion-root flavor or something to add back in the bitterness that is missing in 0-nic juice.

So I'm varying between analogs, 24 juice, 12, and 0. I got marking pens to color-code the little condoms I have on my cartos in my carrying case, so I know which is which nic level.

The anxiety attack finally ended after I'd switched to 12 mg and analogs for the day, and had a HUGE lunch (Indian Chaat, Yum!) and a walk, along with a lot of liquids -- my 0 mg had not yet arrived.

Other way around, I want a bitter/peppery flavor of "0" so it doesn't scream "ZERO!!!" when I vape it for anxiety.

Else I'll end up reaching for an analog.

Maybe I'll suggest it on the Prime Vaping web site...dunno.

Jalapeno flavored juice might work, but I don't know if anyone has that.

When I first looked around for ecigs/supplies it seemed like 18-24mg was the most popular choice for most people. So I went for the low side 18mg. From reading thru this forum, and other sources, it actually seems in practice that most people switch to lower amounts in the 10-12mg range, pretty quickly. Maybe 12mg should be the recommended level for new vapers.

We all have different experiences and addictions; if I'd started vaping @ 12 mg instead of 18mg, I might have gotten discouraged and gone back to smoking, so 18mg is where it's at for me. I haven't had a cigarette since. It may be possible that some new vapers (who still smoke) should start at less than 12mg.

I had a similar reaction to 24mg liquid when I first started. I also continued to smoke my analogs along with the 24mg juice. It was too much for me and left me very dizzy and tired felling. I stepped down to 12mg and everything got so much better. Took me a week to give up smoking for good. Most of my anxiety came from not wanting to run out of juice or battery power and having to buy a pack of cigs to survive. I've also went on a spending spree on everything trying to find my favorites. I think any amount you spend on vaping instead of smoking analogs is money well spent.

Because most of us see to vape more than we smoked, we end up using lower nic levels. I was a 1-11/2 pad smoker of marlboro smooth. I vape between 6 and 11mg nic and go through 4-6 ml a day

Just FYI ....

After speaking to some others and remembering past quit attempts ... the original post issues were more likely a result of rapidly falling blood sugar.

Normally quitting smoking, causes significant changes in blood sugar ... that is a very significant drop. I felt that before when quitting, though not as bad and usually in the first day. I suspect having and a few cigarettes per day slowed that process down so it didn't happen until the 3rd-4th day of 80+% reduction is smoking.

Anyways ... just FYI is case anyone else experiences the same. AND it wasn't that bad, just unusual and irritating.
