Hi I live in Delhi, and there is very little in terms of variety of e cigs available here. I started trying these Green Smart Living ecigs last week, and haven't moved back to analog (was a pack and half smoker for 10 years before that). A friend was in Paris, travelling, so I mailed him to pick up some proper long term ecig pack, as I knew that this is the answer to the hard process of quitting smoking. He came back with this thing which has eGo T written on the battery, but which doesn't look like the eGo T from joyetech site. Anyways we just now spent some time assembling it and filling in the liquid (Camel flavour). I have spent 30-40 min trying to vape it, but there is such terrible taste (not burnt, but like some yucky liquid has come into the mouth, that I can't vape it). Green smart living was far better in comparison, though it was use-and throw, so would have ended up being very costly.

what do I do?

Welcome , and it does indeed , look like an Ego , or clone . Your problem comes from the clearo your using , not the Ego itself . Try cleaning them very well , start with vodka , and then maybe rinse with hot water . Let it dry , and try them again . You may also see if you can order any other types of clearo's . Kanger has several , that seem to be popular with a lot of people . They have the " Evod " , T3's , T2's , and even the pro tank . And you might want to try some different juice as well . Good Luck

Ego is more of a class/style of batteries than an actual brand name.
Ego = internal 510 threads, external ego threads.
Is 'upgrade' printed under the ego-t on the battery? if so make sure it's in regulated mode or it could be burning your juice.(white light while pressing fire button)
That looks like a 650mah battery with a ce4 clearomizer on it, they (ce4) are pretty hit and miss as far as vape quality goes.
There are many delivery devices available that will work on your battery, try something else. The nasty taste could very well be the juice, finding the flavor(s) you like can be quite a process.

I'd unscrew the clearomizer from the battery and blow through form the mouthpiece to clear out any extra liquid. Hold a paper towel or something at the other end to catch the liquid that comes out. Do that then try again, see what happens. Sounds like it's flooded.

Ok. Will do. But that means - that bit of the liquid is gone right? I had just now filled it up to the 1.6ml level.

What you do is wash out your clearo and find some juice you actually like. The tobaccos are hit or miss. Try to order some online sampler juice in smaller quantities. Maybe a tobacco sampler and a fruit sampler. You'll probably find something you like. Stay strong and Vape On!

The problem is that everything has to be imported here, or will have to ask any friends or collegues who are travelling, to pick them up for me. Locally, there are only one-two types of ecigs that are available like the Green Smart Living- none of which offer the flexibility of longer battery life, and cheaper running costs.

Yeh, that liquid is wasted. What I would suggest is to not fill the clearo up to the wicks, so it won't flood as easily, also keep it upright. I know it's a pain, but it'll help prevent flooding if the juice level is'nt at the level the wicks enter the coil. Then you'll find that the juice won't feed quick enough when vaping, so you'll have to tilt the device on occasion to get juice up to the coil. You'll get the hang of it after some practice, it's just the nature of using a CE2 style device.

As an immediate solution, what I have done is - use the eliquid which came with the box (Camel flavour, its from Clopinette, France), to fill up the Green Smart Living cartomiser, after ripping off its wrapping and opening it up. Seems to work fine.

Now I don't need to panic and will try and sort out the clearomiser peacefully.

Good luck with your vaping. The ego battery will serve you well - try to get one of your travelling chums to pick up an Evod for you.

+1 on the Evod. It's perfect for a starter clearo. Just keep an eye on the juice level so you don't run it completely dry and rinse it out between fills to maximize it's longevity. Good luck :)
