Well it's obviously a group of button cell batteries that are stacked and wrapped to yield a larger volt battery.
I believe its part of the battery pack either out of a laptop.................. or a Roomba robot vacuum.
I actually did this battery hack and used the batts in my pedometers, which use batts like crazy:

All my older devices take a ICR 3.7V li-ion batteries. But, none of them are lumpy like that. Nor have I ever seen them in green. So, I have no idea. But, I am curious.

I've only been able to find two little batteries stacked in the same wrapper, but not 4. I think they are lithium ion if that helps anyone.
