I just bought 6 new flavors that were on clearance because they expire in march 2014. The first one that I tried was very flavorful, very good. I have now tried two others that taste HORRIBLE. They really don't taste like much of anything at all, just a little bit of a burnt flavor. I am wondering. Should I steep them? Is it even possible that juices about to expire soon would even still need steeping? Any advice on what to try to make it better or bring out any flavor at all?! One of these flavors even has rave reviews and a 5 star rating so I am not willing to give up on them just yet.

I agree with Meanckz, it could be your coil/head or that you are vaping with volts to high or low.

It also could be that it just tastes like crap! I have about 10 bottles of e-juice that had good reviews or sounded delicious but were terrible. I'd say they definitely don't need to steep more, probably all you could try doing is mix them with other flavors to try to make them better.

Yep, dirty coil... you shouldn't need to steep any pre made (on a shelf for a while) juice unless it has a "chemical" taste to it. If it does, than do the cap off, wait a day, replace cap... shake, remove cap, and repeat thing. If the juice is fresh, than you can wait a while to meld together.

Several months ago I tried a few of the bargain bin liquids from a few different vendors and all were NASTY. I believe there is a reason they're in the clearance bin. Some liquids can rapidly gunk up an atomizer and give off the bad burnt hippo .... taste, which can usually be resolved with a dry burn. There are dozens of youtube videos for just about every atomizer out there that will walk you through the dry burn process. Once you've mastered the dry burn, you will double, triple or even more the life of your coil. Wish I learned about dry burning when I first started because I was changing the heads every few days. I used to think the wick was getting burned up and would just go bad over time, but man was I wrong and I didn't know what silica was and that it can handle 1000*+ F.

sounds like a coil but flavor is very subjective what tastes good to one person could taste like drinking raw sewage to another

Yep, a few weeks ago I went to take a quick vape off the wifes mod. I couldn't believe she was still using it. It tasted like I put my head in a campfire and took a huge lung hit. I promptly rebuilt it, to perfection I might add. When I woke up, proudly I asked if she liked it. She had no idea I changed it. Feeling defeated, I reminded myself taste is subjective... very, very subjective.
