I like to vape throughout the day, however I've been having problems sleeping lately. I switched out caffeine in the afternoons and evenings a long time ago, and I'm going to try to dial down the nic as I try and unwind. I'm looking for suggestions:

What is your favorite vape before you go to bed?

Something relaxing, mellow etc. I normally use 18mg but I'd probably go down to 0mg in this. I'm hardly a nic fiend, the "oral fixation" is more of a psychological habit and anxiety reliever for me, so I would like to continue to vape as I settle in for bed. But I do want to cut down on the nic variable at the same time and see if that helps me with the insomnia, as I am aware of the effects of nicotine on sleep disturbances.

I'm open to anything; I am just starting to stockpile my stash of ejuices and wouldn't mind getting a few blends so please do share!

Alot of people switch to a lower nic level a few hours before bed. You'll have to experiment and see what works best for you. Although, 18mg down to 0mg is a bit steep of a drop, maybe try 12 or even 8. If you're used to 18mg and drop to 0, even though you may not be a "nic fiend", it may still be a bad drop. I would think a good vape flavor before bed would be something like a nice peach or orange, something along those lines.

Mariss716 I am having the same problem and I would love to hear some feedback on this as well. I am still looking for my all day vape and trying to find something mellow for evening. The best thing I've tried so far that was pretty mellow was Alice in Vapeland's 'A Quiet Morning'...irony? Seriously though, it is very smooth and mellow but I am a new to this and limited in the experience department :) I recommend 12mg of Alice in Vapeland's 'A Quiet Morning' https://aliceinvapeland.com/products/1/a-quiet-morning

Thanks I'll check that out - maybe 6 or 12 mg.

Your suggestion got me thinking - maybe RAWR's Truth Serum which is Pear Coconut cream.

I like the idea of the cream although I know creams aren't for everyone either. Pear is definitely one of the more mellow fruits with subtle sweetness.

I usually have herbal tea before bed, and enjoy the taste of a fruity green tea although with the caffeine in that I avoid it. But the taste itself in a vape might make a nice relaxing blend. The Alice in Vapeland blend looks similar to the RAWR green tea offerings which get awesome reviews on here.

I have tried both rawr and aiv. Love the aiv but the rawr was a little too perfumey for me. Ymmv :)

Agreed 100%. Not all of Rawr's flavors are perfumey, but none of Alice in Vapeland's are perfumey at all. You might also want to give Afternoon Tea a try for a mellow vape. Also from Alice in Vapeland.

I tried sweet tease from AiV and thought it was a bit perfumey. Reminds me of lemon pledge.

The Early Grey from Rawr might be a good night time vape, although not one i have specifically tried. His other teas are out of this world though, so i'd imagine that one is good too. I've been really enjoying his cinnamon juices lately, they are a very natural cinnamon, not red hot candy type at all. Cinna Creme might be a pleasant one for you at night. I've found myself vaping that one or Fiery Nuts (natural cinnamon with really nice nutty undertone) a lot in the evenings.

Rawr sends 5ml samples with every order, but recently he has switched his samples from 6mg Nic down to 0mg Nic. Might not be a bad idea to request specific flavors for your samples just to stock up on a few 0 nic juices, but without actually having to pay for 0mg juices if they dont end up working out for you.

I'd suggest looking into aromatherapy. Many flavors of our juices are commonly used in aromatherapy to help with everything from stress to alertness, memory enhancement, relaxation etc etc.

Though Vanilla is purported to have aphrodisac properties, I find it very calming and soothing. My fav is AltCig's Vanilla Love.

Yeah definitely, I should do more reading on the subject - my mom even has a diffuser here. I already use a dab of peppermint essential oil in a lotion for example to massage into my temples/trigger points when I get a headache. Works wonders. The essential oil is peppermint essence by another name, used in food flavoring and yup, eliquid.

+1 on the Mocha Java Smooth, that is one of my top 10!

I was just looking at Rawr Raging ..... and thinking that although I can't drink coffee past noon, I do miss the taste at night. I LOVE coffee and as the saying goes, "A morning without coffee is like sleep." A nice coffee vape with chocolate and cream or milk notes would be great. Mocha Java I know can refer a particular coffee bean blend (Arabian/Java, Indonesia) so I will look at the vape reviews too and add that to the short list. I haven't tried HHV either but was looking at site today. EDIT: http://www.heathersheavenlyvapes.com/store3/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=5 I found it, this blend name is a coffee shop mocha: espresso/chocolate/milk.
