bringing this thread back up..there are some great hints in it!

Bounce This Along

U.S. Postal service sent out a message to all letter carriers to put a sheet of Bounce in their uniform pockets to keep yellow-jackets away.

Use them all the time when playing baseball and soccer. I use it when I am working outside. It really works. The insects just veer around you.

All this time you've just been putting Bounce in the dryer!

1. It will chase ants away when you lay a sheet near them. It also repels mice.

2. Spread sheets around foundation areas, or in trailers, or cars that are sitting and it keeps mice from entering your vehicle.

3. It takes the odor out of books and photo albums that don't get opened too often.

4. It repels mosquitoes. Tie a sheet of Bounce through a belt loop when outdoors during mosquito season.

5. Eliminate static electricity from your television (or computer) screen.

6. Since Bounce is designed to help eliminate static cling, wipe your television screen with a used sheet of Bounce to keep dust from resettling..

7. Dissolve soap scum from shower doors. Clean with a sheet of Bounce.

8. To freshen the air in your home - Place an individual sheet of Bounce in a drawer or hang in the closet

9. Put Bounce sheet in vacuum cleaner.

10. Prevent thread from tangling. Run a threaded needle through a sheet of Bounce before beginning to sew.

11. Prevent musty suitcases. Place an individual sheet of Bounce inside empty luggage before storing.

12. To freshen the air in your car - Place a sheet of Bounce under the front seat.

13. Clean baked-on foods from a cooking pan. Put a sheet in a pan, fill with water, let sit overnight, and sponge clean. The anti-static agent apparently weakens the bond between the food and the pan..

14. Eliminate odors in wastebaskets. Place a sheet of Bounce at the bottom of the wastebasket.

15.. Collect cat hair. Rubbing the area with a sheet of Bounce will magnetically attract all the loose hairs.

16. Eliminate static electricity from Venetian blinds.. Wipe the blinds with a sheet of Bounce to prevent dust from resettling.

17. Wipe up sawdust from drilling or sand papering. A used sheet of Bounce will collect sawdust like a tack cloth.

18. Eliminate odors in dirty laundry. Place an individual sheet of Bounce at the bottom of a laundry bag or hamper.

19. Deodorize shoes or sneakers. Place a sheet of Bounce in your shoes or sneakers overnight.

20. Golfers put a Bounce sheet in their back pocket to keep the bees away.

21. Put a Bounce sheet in your sleeping bag and tent before folding and storing them. It will keep them smelling fresh.

I use Bounce! I take #12 a step further. I keep a whole unopened box in my car until I run out of the supply for the dryer. It makes the car smell fresh. Then I just pull the one from the car and replace it the next time I go to the store.

It's also great for cleaning the dryer's lint screen - the used sheets - it really grabs the lint. I just do it over a trash can.

I rub a sheet on my hair when I've been wearing a hat in the winter ands it takes the static right out. (and it's already in the car.....) I also used to use it the same way when I used to wear hose to work all the time - it was way cheaper than using anti-static spray.

OK, I have a few!

To remove stains (food, grease, etc) from natural fabrics (cotton, linen, etc), spray with oven cleaner. Let it set and rub in a little, then rinse and wash as usual. I was given this tip after my ex sat a casserole lid directly onto a crocheted linen tablecloth my mother had made. It removed the grease and tomato stains completely!

To remove blood stains, soak with hydrogen peroxide. You might need to scrub a little, rinse and repeat, but it will get out most or all of the stain. (This had nothing to do with my ex! ;))

To clear up a stuffed nose, add a few drops of hot sauce to a glass of water and drink. Works very well!

To get rid of warts, soak a small bit of cotton ball (I clipped the end of a Q-tip) in vinegar with mother. Put a bandaid over it to hold it in place, and change it a couple times a day. It does sting, but it totally worked on 2 on my hands!

Ok this is a weird one...but it works. To remove blood stain, spit on it and rub-your stain, your spit. Has something to do with enzymes? IDK but it works, rub the fabric together a bit and it literally vanishes.
Great hints here! Anyone have a number for those little magic fairies that will clean while I nap? :p

You're right, that is weird! Never heard that one before. What if you had a large blood stain? It would take a LOT of spit. :?:

To remove a wart, crush a vitamin c tablet, add a couple drops of water to make it pasty, pack on wart and cover with a bandaide.

For dirty dishes, bride your kids with money. Always works.

Hi hairball, haven't seen you in here for awhile. Maybe I justed missed you. I like the bribe tip. Thankfully I've never had a wart an hope I never get one.

LOL...I've been around..more looking for a new PV. Trying to make up my mind if I want a Vapage Mod (VMod) or not. Checking the GLV3's out also but wish they were VV.

Got another one, to remove gum from hair, carpet or whatever, use peanut butter. The oil will loosen it so you can get it off.

Edit: tmcase reminded me of something I forgot about the peanut butter. Watch the oil. If you have an oil spot left, dilute a couple drops of Dawn dish soap with water then blot it out.

I don't know about that one. Seems like the oil would stain the carpet. Might work on hair. Have you tried this?

I saw one of your posts last night where somebody was talking about a new PV and you said something like "I'm off to shop". I had to laugh because I know how you like every new toy that comes down the pike.

Who has a good tip for me..I have cracked heels and I have tried all the stuff at the drug store..ped eggs, sandpaper, pumice stones, overnight heel repair, vasaline, hospital moisterizer, bag balm and burts bees stuff. It's still tough and cracking.
Since I am a diabetic, I take foot problems to heart...HELP!

How about aloe or a moisterizer with lots of oil? Or suntan oil. IDK, just guessing here. :) Aloe seems to fix everything tho.

I edited it. I forgot about the oil. Dawn diluted with water will remove the spot.

I just bought a purple Buzz Pro. Now I want a blue one...LOL. Also, Mike is coming out with the VVPV that I want. A VMod is on the list. GLV3..don't think so. I don't like 5V and the 3.7V battery wouldn't last me very long.

Mary Kay...hubby has the same problem and is diabetic also. Once or twice a week when he's not on the road, I pack his feet in vaseline (I mean gob it on), put gallon sized bags over them, then put a heating pad on the arm of the couch on high with a lightweight towel over it. He presses the bottoms of his feet on it for an hour or so and it helps.

Well aren't you just the good little housekeeper! So many tips. I only had the one.

Jes Louise! That makes, what, 7 or 8 Buzz's now? I don't even know what those other ones are. I'll have to look them up but then I just be jealous.
