I have several Smoktech DCT tanks, so I've almost always used the Smoktech brand. I've recently gotten some shorter tanks, and have tried Boges, which are of course single coils. The only difference I've found is in the polyfill. Boges seems to be denser and slower to absorb juice.

I had not been entirely happy with the dual coil Smoktechs. I have had issues with sliding my self-punched cartos thru the Smoktech endcaps. A side effect of self punching can cause distortion of the carto's roundness to the point where it catches or binds where the hole was made. I decided to try pre-punched cartos.

I had also recently read that dual coils don't effectively fire unless the wattage fed them is at least 4.5v. Since I am using 3.4v devices, I decided to give single coil cartos a whirl.

I got some 2 oHm one and two hole prepunched Smoktechs. Single Coil XL Tank Cartomizer for the SmokTank XL

I'm glad I tried these. These just seem to work so much better for me than the dual coils. Plenty of vapor. Better flavor, at least initially. I use the single holed for thinner juices, and the double holed for thicker. So far they are working very nicely. Only exception is the tank with Boba's in it isn't wicking enough despite two pre-punched holes. I'm not sure if you can even use Boba's in a tank its so darn thick.

You're correct, Boge does make an XL, although they can be a little hard to find, especially with the pre-drilled hole options I look for. A standard resistance...3.0 oHm...would be appropriate for variable voltage.

I'm planning on ordering my own Provari this week when the new colors are offered. I'll be needing to get some 3 oHm standard resistance cartos also.

For my 3.7v mod, I use the 1.7 ohm SmokTech (resurrector) cartos and they've been working great. Single coil, long lasting, one pre-drilled hole, and good performance. For my ProVari, I've been using 3 ohm SmokTech single coil cartos with 2 pre-drilled holed and they've been working very good. I was using the Boge XL 3 ohms and punching them myself, but I recently got a couple of bad batches from a vendor and decided to go with SmokTech instead.

Was using KGO, now Bolt: both 3.7v devices.

I exclusively use 1.7 ohm flanged single coil tank cartos (smoktech): I prefer the single hole variety. Hoosier & CCV both sell them; I use Hoosier and generally order 25 in a batch for a price of about $1.50 each.

With semi-regular cleaning I can get about 30ml through a single carto without significant loss of taste or draw.

All of my juice is 80pg, and I find the single hole works best for me even with frequent chain vaping. Flooding and dry hits are rarely a problem.

I was happy with Boges for quite a while bt the last 2 batches I got just didn't perform as well as the older ones did. I am now using the Ikenvape single coil 2.0 ohm that I double punch with a saddle valve. Use between 3.7 and 4.2 volts normally. Very happy with the performance but getting on the Ikenvape website can be a challenge at times.

I have been using Boge SR cartos and been happy with them until I got some Boba's and Gorilla Juice. I first tried these 'new to me' juices in a Boge SR 2.9 carto and they got better and better as the carto heated up. I took the same carto and slotted it and put in a tank. I can not get the same flavor tho as it seems the surrounding juice cools the carto body so it never warms up enough to make the flavor come through like it did in just the carto itself.

I am using it on a Provari and played with higher voltage settings but just could not get the same flavor. I am wondering if a single coil LR carto would be any better in the tank for me. I kind of doubt it would be enough difference to heat the whole tank of liquid enough to give the same effect as the carto only method tho.

I was using the smoktech dual coil pre-punched on my smoktech 3.5ml tank but then I switched to boge xl single coils at 2.0ohm.
Was punching them with a saddle valve but that's a bit of a pain so now I use this to punch:

V2 Cartomizer Punch - Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks

That baby works like a charm and automatically puts the hole(s) in the perfect spot with very little deformation. I also have a phiniac regular size tank that I run Boge standard size (37mm length not counting threads I think) 2.0ohm. I double punch for 100% VG and single punch for 85/15 pg/vg and run them from about 3.7 to 4.2 volts on my ego twist. I usually purchase from Sure Vapes or CCV.

cheers,
cho

Im also using boge cartos and punching them w a similar tool as urs, but have been gettin flooding issues w them. Idk if its the holes im making being too big or the boge cartos themselves not haveing the best filler inside ro hold the juice properly?? Maybe ill try the prepuched smoktech but i dont know the quality of those
