I'm looking on amazon, and see a Standard Saddle Valve, a Self Piercing Saddle Valve, and a few different sizes listed. Does anyone who's purchased one of these things to punch holes in cartos for tanks and who's getting a good result have the name/info of product they purchased? I do my buying online, for most part, so can't just run out to store if I get the wrong thing. Thanks for your help! Oh, and I've heard there's youtube videos that show the hole punching, so hoping I'm good there. BTW, looking to punch both black and stainless Boge and Resurrectors, if that matters. Thanks!

I have had 3 saddle valves and have found that the piercing point dulls very quickly... I was on VapeTv last week and Bruce from Clouds of Vapor said he would have an adjustable Carto punch on his site in the next 10 days that someone is making for him...It also uses a screw, NOT a hammer....

Ok, scratch that. I'll happily pay $5 each for a few punches when they dull. rofl Its only me I'm doing the punching for, so even if I get 5 punches out of each valve, I'll still save money over buying them prepunched. Not that the invention doesn't sound awesome, just a little more than I wanna spend right around the holidays. But that's an 'asap' purchase, definitely! Thanks, Harley!

I can't say this enough. Get a deck screw. They are very sharp and a small box of them will last you a lifetime. You will need to tape the carto down or put it in the crack between deck boards. It works great.

hahaha, "Point" taken......... how many fingers have you mashed with the hammer out on the deck ???? lol

I just went to the local home depot and picked up a self-piercing saddle valve. I was tired of spending .50 extra on pre-punched cartos. It works really well. I've only punched one carto thus far so I can't speak to its longetivity, but it didn't deform the trueness of the carto and fit perfectly in my BDV tank. Since I'm currently vaping a 100% VG juice I gave it two punches. So far it is feeding well and vaping great. Winning!

Just an update here... Looks like Clouds of vapor just posted their new adjustable carto punch on the site... Looks good and you don't even need a allen wrench, It is built into the thing and the piece that punches the hole looks very nice.. " SHARP"
i mean...lol

Just ordered 2, One for home and one for the Work Truck.....

I punched my first one today with the help of my husband. I used a marker to mark where I wanted the hole, laid it on a towel and held it while my husband used a deck screw and a hammer. It was easy and cheap. (don't know if it works yet LOL I haven't used it yet) There is a video over at the atomizer-carto-tank forum where a woman does it with a screw and hammer and if looks easy.. if figured if she could do it I could too :D
