Tersur. Go to the local hardware store. buy a small box of deck screws. Tape the carto down.
make sure the tape goes all the way around the carto. So it doesn't roll, then use a hammer and u will be able to make the hole as small or as large as you want.

Here is a pic of how the tape should go around the carto to hold it.or as I posted it can be put in the crack between decking if u have a deck. Which will hold it even better.

And what you would do is just lay the carto in the crack.

Orachel: In my opinion, you do not want black cartos sitting in a tank of liquid. I think that coating could very well dissolve in your juice...it is only glued on. I do not think you want to be vaping dissoved material, especially from a product made in China, or anywhere else for that matter. Stick with the stainless steel for your tanks.

Gramva, that's a very good point! Never even occurred to me, but you're definitely correct...would corrode and be floating around the tank. Ug. rofl

BTW, I got a saddle valve finally, from amazon. Got a great deal on it. Haven't tried yet just because Ive still got some prepunched ones laying around, and cartos seem to last a long long time in my chibi tank. Thanks everyone for your help!
