What liquids will not destroy the 510 atty?

I am about to purchase my first e cig from InnoVapor. After a lot of research i'm getting this one for me and my boyfriend.

510 Double Kit - Perfect for Friends or Couples Ready to Vape! - $200.00 : InnoVapor, The Finest in Personal Vaporizers

I am wonderring if anyone has the 510 and has ruined their atomizers from using the wrong or harsh liquids. I would like to have the freedom of experimenting with different liquids. For example can i use the ones from Totally Wicked??? What other ones can I use besides ECOpure?

Scott from InnoVapor says this in his warranty so i want to be careful.

"When used with ECOpure liquid, they will activate thousands of times without failure and will last many weeks. However, we have experienced claims of atomizer failure after a few weeks of use. Some of the atomizers returned to us for exchange are fully functional and most of those that are not have failed because of harsh liquids or improper maintenance. All claims made to us from customers that had immediate atomizer failure have been valid and justified for replacement under warranty. Due to our lack of control of the liquids being used and improper maintenance, all of the atomizers we sell will now carry a 7 day warranty from receipt of order."

Thanks for your input,
Sarah

Bah! I doubt that eco whatever is any better or worse for atty's then anything else! Most places offer at least 2 weeks on an atty.
The only things you never put in an atty are liquid with sugar i.e. soda, flavorings that contain sugar, breath fresheners with sugar..ok? Also oil, that means you read your flavors when you DIY. Don't just grab vanilla from the kitchen..read it first! Dark food coloring..thin it down. Some people have no problems, others have lost atty's. Those are for do it yourself liquids.
When you buy liquids then read what others say about them. Most are just great and won't hurt anything. There are a few worth researching. Do yourself a favor and read the liquid review section on this board.
I have used liquids from several suppliers here on the board and have found NONE that hurt my atty's.
Welcome to ECF and good luck!:)

My verdict is that VG, which is what EcoPure is made out of, clogs up atomizers faster than PG. If you aren't allergic to PG, I'd use that instead of VG. If you blow out your atomizer every night, you could get a long life out of it. I still use my 510 atomizers that came with my 510 kit that I bought in June.

If I may make a personal suggestion - I'd get the kit with the pelican case, and buy two Kensington USB PowerPacks. The PCC's all tend to fail after very little use.

$200 for all of that stuff seems to be pretty fair to me.

Hyper is right, I took a look and that is way too expensive. I ordered a starter kit from Rocky Mountain Vaper (you will find them in the suppliers section) and a PCC. Then I turned around and got 2 batteries, 2 attys and another PCC for my wife. We have the home charger and we both have a PCC. I have heard so many tales of failure but everything we have gotten from them is primo!

I did get some RY4 from them, PG based, and yummy. I have also ordered from Dawn Marie (ecigsmokestore). Her liquids are YUM!

I went to the trade/sell forum here andfound a great deal on extra batteries and attys, a couple home chargers (I work at home, freelance write at this moment so my wife can take a charger to work to make double sure she can charge on the 'go') and some extra carts and liquids.

I highly recommend Rocky Mountain Vapor to start off, check with Dawn Marie on juice, and stock parts by hitting the trade/sell section! I will probably be listing some minty tobacco juice soon (I will try it first!).

Oh, the other thing is, I do read a LOT about VG. After what I have read, I will use it but only to dose my PG a bit or vapor. Unless I was sensitive to it I would not go pure VG since that will gum up and cause failure. Read up on that, just search VG here!

Please please do not pay 200$ for a 510 kit.

You can get a single 510 kit for 50 bucks at rockymountain vapor or I believe 38 dollars at cignot.com Just get two of these and you should be good.

I am getting two kits with a bunch of other stuff thrown in all for 200. I did a cost analysis for what i would get if i bought 2 kits from cignot and it was about $60 less. The reason why i am paying the extra 60 to order from innovapor is because compared to what i would get with the kits from cignot i am getting

4 more atomizers
10 more carts- cignots are prefilled which i don't want
2 USB chargers vs the wall chargers offered by cignot
I also like the PCC cases in the offer better. They are the metal ones.
It also looks like i am getting more juice although it's hard to tell because i don't know how much juice it takes to fill a cart.

Anyway, i'm not paying that much more for getting the two. I will probably reorder supplies from cignot though.

actually i will order one unit for my grandma from cignot because she needs the wall charger rather than USB because she doesn't have a computer. She will also like the prefilled carts and will not be much into dripping.

I'm not sure what a Kensington USB power pack is it on the innovapor site. I want to be able to carry the PCC with me for at least 12 hours if i am out and about all day with a power source. I'll look into the Kensington to see what it does. I actually really like the pelican cases i just thought the PCC would be a life saver on long days out. Even if i do have to get another one.

I am always welcome to suggestions by the way. No opposition here.

Nowheregirl,

Innovapor is a great group - They will assist in any way they can- they have with me! Innovapor was my first purchase also. I still continue to order from them, even though on some things I could find cheaper. A dollar here or there is ok if they treat me like a loyal customer. Although on items that I can save 30% elsewhere I will definately go elsewhere too.

And you are right, depending on your personal needs analysis they may be more affordable - shopping purely by price doesn't always work!

For me the Ultimate dual kit fit my needs/desires and was only 12 dollars more than piecemealing it though 3 vendors (not bringing shipping in the mix either). It probably evened out in the end if I include the convenience factor.

A USB powerpack is a portable battery used to charge USB devices. It works for USB chargers and the such on ecigs. I now have both a PCC and A kensington and I use both - the PCC is "handier" to me though.

As for the ECOpure - IMHO, my atty that uses only ECO has not degraded one bit. My other "PG" atty has needed to be cleaned to restore the "new draw feeling" a few times. In all fairness though I have put some mixtures in it that would clog my toilet (at least they tasted that way). I know others are getting sick of hearing me tout ECOpure, but it is my liquid of choice. Even tho they have had some "taste problems" they were always quick to rectify for most users.

J4g3r is right though, if I blew out my "PG" atty every night it would probably be fine..., although I like VG better than PG.

Off-topic, but don't forget to use the InnoVapor discount code!

10% OFF - Coupon Code: INNOVAPOR10

Saves you $20. :)

(And I've been sticking with ECOpure in my 510; no troubles yet, though I only use it lightly-- I personally find it too cumbersome to carry around and use all day.)

Whilst I know that some people state that VG clogs atomisers, I think that is because VG itself is much thicker than PG. ECOpure is VG based, but it has been thinned out to the correct consistency.

I use ECOpure almost exclusively, and my attys are 5.5 months, 4 months, and 2+ months old. Apart from idiot mistakes as a newbie when I lost/broke 2 attys, I've only had 1 atty die since I started vaping (at around 3.5 months of age).

However, I do use an EVO rather than a 510, and the EVO does seem to last longer than 510s

I've used ECOpure solely since it came out & I haven't had an atty die on me yet (in either the 401s or 510s).

I agree that it is a good idea to clean you atties out regularly although I only do it once a week. I flush them out with vodka (works a treat)

Most atomizer death are caused by carbon build-up on the coil. This is unavoidable as it is a product of the coil at high temperatures comming into contact with the juice. Regular cleaning, I soak mine in alcohol, will minimize this carbon build-up. The jury is still out on whether VG or PG is better or worse at causing this build-up.

So, true proven proceedures for preserving the atty are still a work in progress.
