No worries. I think im just gonna go with the manually operated device one.it seems more rational to me

Got to chime in here, so by your definition a MOD "Manually operated device" covers every PV out there. A MOD simply is any device that has been altered from it original configuration "Modified". Examples:

Zmax internals repurposed into a box with a larger battery capacity.

A Cartomizer that has been remade into a rebuildable.

An ego that has been made into a pass through.

An atomizer converted into a dripper rebuildable.

Anything that has been altered from its original manufacturer configuration is a mod. Anything that is in production such as a ZEN, VAMO, Twist Ego, VMAX, ZMAX etc is an APV.
