What's in a name? AVP/MOD

Ok, so to put this all together.....

A mod is a blanket term that covers both the APVs AND Mechanical PVs. So a person can use both terms (APV mod / Mech MOD) to discribe a particular device.

Now I'm one step closer to understanding all this new terminology. On to the next thing I don't understand.
