To skip all the crap about my past, just look for (THE REAL QUESTION)

For anyone who knows me, (no one knows me), I have returned!
I moved to the huge metro area of Omaha NE!! The drive was stupid long, the cigarettes were nasty and expensive but I made it!
I got here with a plan, Get a job, Get paid from said job, Quit smoking. Why in that order? Well, I find it easier to quit smoking when you can afford to go buy a pack.
Look at it like this, a person who abuses a substance for four years goes to jail. While in jail, he is unable to abuse said substance. Once released, he instantly abuses substance yet again. It's the same concept with smoking, for me at least, if I can't afford to smoke, I won't until I can afford it again. It's confusing, I know..

Any way, I have a job, and I'll be getting paid soon. I have already quit smoking as of 2 days ago, and now I'm using what has now become named as Ol' Faithful. My iTaste mvp v2. It's out lived any and all of my other vaporizers. The problem I have, is that, it's just time to let go. In all honesty, I love the iTaste devices, but they just aren't performing the way I need them to. The mvp only goes to up to 5volts, welll I mean, it "says" it goes up to five volts. Comparing a clk 1280 to the mvp 2, 5v on the 1280 blew the mvp out of the water.

As a mater of fact, the 1280 surprised a lot of vapors I ran into at shops and such. Take a look at my avatar, for example. That was after taking, maybe, a 2 second puff off of it. The setup: TOBH rda coiled at 1.3-1.5 ohms. Sitting on the CLK 1280 vaping at 5volts. The performance was perfect. (for me) But then, whilst on vacation, my clk 1280 was killed in battle. Never again has she seen the light of day.

Anyway, I'm getting of track, Why not just buy another CLK 1280 you ask? Why would I? Yes, the voltage was more of a true voltage compared to the mvp v2, but, remember, it DID break. The battery life SUCKS, would last maybe an hour vaping at 5volts. and altogether, I'm not gonna waste money on something I think is just going to break again.

THE REAL QUESTION (I guess)

What's a good mod to run a TOBH on? I'm not looking to sub ohm, not a cloud chaser, just love to be able to have large amounts of vape, good taste and good performance. I'm looking for something in the 20watt range. Now, I'm not rich at all. So I only have a budget of maybe 100 bucks to spend. So, In all experiences you all have had, whats a good device to look into??

Thanks!
Daniel.

I have a Sigelei 20. Mr Busardo reckoned that because it provides flat voltage rather than sine wave voltage it gives a better vape. I don't have anything to compare it to personally other than Spinners, but I like it. There's a 30W version too, and they are both < $100.

There are a LOT of MODs out there. You will get a lot of directions suggested. But, the sub-forums and their recent posts about APVs should give direction for your research. I just read...and read, and made a list. I whittled it down and finally decided.

Like others said, the 30 watt DNA MODs are down in price because the DNA40 is out. Also, YiHi-based MODs seem to have followers.

Lots to consider. Best wishes and happy vaping!

I'd get the best yihi mod in you're price range. The IPV mini is about $50, it's 30 watts, and can charge via mini usb.
This is what I'm considering and the iPV V2 models are extremely affordable as well for people wanting just a bit more.

I'm having a really hard time deciding between the iPV mini and iPV V2s.

You have a lot of options for a device that runs 20 watts.

Your budget can get you an IPV2 which is 50 watts. You can get a IPV Mini which is 30 watts. You can get a DNA 30 clone. You could get an iStick.

If you wanted to spend about $120 you could an IPV3 and it has 150 watts. So if you ever do decide to get into sub ohms you will have more than enough watts to mess with.

Does not compute
Maybe

You either need a Good Regulated or you need to at least go somewhat sub ohm on a mechanical device.
Under $100 you will need to consider a Clone or China Regulated mod to get the required power. Remember the added cost of batteries/charger.

I've come up "slowly" through the mod ranks. Started with fixed voltage (not counting the original cigalike kit from a few years ago), then Spinners and VV3s. Then MVPs (I need lots of battery life). Got a couple of Nautis this fall, and "had" to get something with a bit more power (but regulated). In comes Sigelei Zmax V3 and a Vamo V6. The Nautis (1.8ohm BVC) run well and look nice on the tubes. Shinyitus struck again, and I scored the iPV Mini this week. Cannot put it down :D Swore I'd never go to "Dripper Land", but I picked up an EHPro Atomic, and am finding new amusement in vaping.

I have a handful of 3100maH batteries, and even hitting the iPV at 12.5 watts on the Nauti, it's lasted a good 24 hours before charging. Love that the Mini has passthrough. BUT, keep in mind, this is what works for *ME*.

Yep. And there's also thev IPV2s which I believe is 60 watts, upgradable to 80 watts.
