I'm really having trouble getting started. I'm not getting the full relaxed feeling I get when I smoke analogs. I would think if you vape more often it would make up for initially ordering a smaller dose of nic than you would really need. I ordered another e cig and some juice from several different places and different nic levels. Hope they come soon. I think I could quit cold turkey easier than vaping what I am vaping right now. I've quit cold turkey several times for years a lot easier. I wonder if there are any companies that don't actually put the level of nic that is claimed on the package. I know it is by far the most expensive ingredient.

Getting samples of different strengths is your best bet. We all react differently, and we all have different vaping styles. There are nic levels that will knock you over, believe me. Keep at it. Check out the forum suppliers.

I started with 24mg, now sometimes vape 18mg. And I vape like a woman possessed most of the time.

I'm wondering if some of the difference you're feeling with vaping is that you're not getting all the weird chemicals from analogs.

What are you vaping now, just the prefilled cartridges? If so, than I would expect a much better experience with some other juices. It does take a little while to get onto the hang of vaping, though. Expect to take longer drags more frequently than you did with cigarettes. I started with the carts, but it was 24mg juice that got me off analogs. I only went through 30ml of 24mg before I was able to go down to 18mg, though, and I've been there ever since with some 0-12mg in the evening.

I think you are absolutely right, rayneinspain. Our bodies have come to associate burning hot air and various chemicals with nicotine satisfaction. Sometimes it takes a little while to make the adjustment to getting the nicotine without the bad stuff.

I'm wondering if some of the different chemicals are actually what relax me. I know that oxidized nicotine is also called nicotinic acid or better known as vitamin b3. I also know that cigs contain sulfur which is beneficial for arthritis. I ordered some different levels of juice from different manufacturerers so we'll see if that does the trick.

I hear you, and it actually ticks me off that BT has never, to my knowledge, fully disclosed exactly what is in their products.

I'm sure someone will come and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I remember reading that they also contain MAOIs...so a lot of the common 'antsy' feelings are likely the withdrawal of some pretty major mood stabilizers they were secretly feeding us all those years.

Wait...found the thread:

I did the same thing you did and went with low nic juice to start with. After reading a bunch more forum threads, it seems I went way low for the smoking habit I started with (pack-a-day Camel filters). So the 12mg juice I started with is getting refilled with 24mg that's already on the way. I'll see how that works out and adjust with the next order if needed.

In the mean time, I still smoke but only a third or so of what I was smoking. And I really didn't set out to go cold turkey on day 1 so I'm ok with that.
