I would suggest getting a couple of different levels. I started out at 18mg, but I still wanted to smoke so I bumped it to 24mg and switched between the two. I vape mostly 18mg, but I still use 24mg when I have really strong cravings. This is one of those "you'll just have to try it and see" questions that no one can definitely answer for you. Some people who didn't smoke much need 24mg and other people who smoked like chimneys only need 18mg or less.

Get a few levels. I was a 1 - 1.5 pad full strength forever and anything over 18 made me dizzy. I quickly settled on 12mg with occasional bottles of 18 mg for when I want a rush and 6 mg for before bed.

Most people will tell you 24 mg to start, so everyone is different depending how you vape and how your body absorbs it. I think I don't inhale as deeply as most people.

I'd get 12 and 24 in a flavor where you can mix them and get 18 too. Too low and you'll still want to smoke, too much and you'll get dizzy/nicotine sick. Get small bottles until you know what you like and what works for you.

I smoked marlboro lights about 1.5 to 2 packs a day. what nicotine level should I get?
From what I know one Marlboro light cigarette has about .08mg of nicotine. If you smoked 30 a day you're taking in 2.4mg of nicotine. You might want to start off at a medium level of nicotine; about 12mg and go from there. If you're looking for more of a TH then go a bit higher or switch your method of vaping however, being a light nicotine smoker I don't think you were after the TH.

Ideally IMO, eventually you should work yourself down to the lowest amount of nicotine you can. Good luck.

...first thing to realize is there is no substitute for burning leaves and funk other than to burn leaves and funk...we all had to learn that...the best you will get is a liquid that tastes like cigarettes smell when not burning...secondly, 24mg nic is already considered STRONG, I really wouldn't go higher...stronger nic strength is usually bought for DIY dilution...as for as juice types, try looking at the various vendors here and look for names like Cowboy, Maxboro, Red7, USA, Desert Ship or some of the RY tobaccos flavors...I smoked 3ppd of a lite ciggie and used the USA blend @ 14mg, vaped to my hearts content and quit the funkarettes in 5 days...ya gotta wanna to doit to be successful.....................

I was a 1.5 PAD smoker (Parliament Lights) and I started at 36mg. My primary goal was to quit smoking without suffering and backsliding. It worked. After a few months I moved down to 24mg and that's pretty much where I stay, with occasional forays into the 18mg or 36mg territory. Don't worry if you need a high nic level to get off the analogs - it's worth it in the end. You can always lower your nic level gradually, later.

I forgot to add that my primary juice vendors both carry 36mg: Vapor4Life and MyFreedomSmokes.

Some people think everyone should start on 24mg. It is too high for some people.

Since you smoke lights I say aim at 16-18 and buy a small bottle of 24 and a small one of 10-12 then figure out what you like (keeping in mind that you will probably start with 100% PG liquid and liquid with a bit of VG in it will be a bit smoother).

I smoked the same amount of lights as you and started on 16-18 and it felt right. You can always take extra drags if you need more nicotine but nicotine alone isn't as addictive once you get all of the cigarette chemicals out of your body. You want a level that satisfies your craving and has enough but not too much TH and is not so harsh or irritating that it prevents you from enjoying vaping.

I started on 24mg and have now dropped down to 18mg

That's probably because I'm using dual coil cartomisers that produce loads more vapour, so some of it depends on how good the device your using is as much as the mg strength eliquid you're using

Hope that helps...... Rick

This is also true! Something like 12mg juice is a different animal when you are using a VV device or LR atty's/Carto's on a true 3.7V PV. So something in the "light" range like 12mg might not hit the spot with a ego/Riva and a standard resistance atty but hit it that same juice with more watts and game on.
