I have been vaping on and off for about a month but never asked this question. If I am smoking a pack and a half a day of Camel Lights what Nic level should I start at?

I think the industry answer there is 18mg. My personal answer would be 24mg.

I was a pack and a half a day smoker and started with 18mg, as suggested by my local vape shop. I couldn't quit smoking, so upped to 24mg. That did the trick. I was quickly able to start stepping back down, though. I'd say I was only on 24mg for about 2 weeks.

I now only vape 6mg, 3.5 months after quitting analogs.

Good luck!

Depends on your equipment and how well it delivers nic. I vape 12mg currently. Smoked camel filters. But I was using 24mg nic when I first started, but have dropped down as my equipment improved. Generally what level make you not crave a smoke is good. If you are getting to much nicotine at your current level the drop down, if you are not satisfied then increase it. 12-18mg should do you fine. But a lot has to do with your gear, the amount you vape, and most importantly, what keeps you off cigarettes.

I was smoking a pack to a pack and a half a day. The company I bought my set up from recommended 18mg - so that's what I was on for the first week and I was still smoking about a half pack of analogs because I couldn't get away from them. A week later I talked to someone else, and we upped my nic level to a 24mg (that was last weekend Nov2) and ever since we've done that I haven't touched an analog. I only vape the 24mg first thing in the morning and then drop down to 18mg a couple of hours after I've gotten up. Now, there are times where I will get a craving during the day for an analog (due to stress with work), but I put my 24mg back on and vape on it for a bit and I'm fine.
