It's been 13 days since the last analog...

I used to smoke mostly Marlboro lights, 10-15 per day. When I switched to vaping I ordered 24mg juice- the site I was buying from had 12, 24, or 36mg and I picked what I thought was the Medium-strength one. Then I read this very informative guide: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...l-world-vaping-part-3-6-software-process.html

I saw that the author classified 24-26 mg as "Extra High: may be good for a two-pack per day and/or unfiltered analog smoker". I had noticed spikes in blood pressure too with the 24mg (I take Lisinopril as-needed). So I went down a notch. I got 18mg and I think it's a good strength for me for now

How strong is the eJuice you guys are vaping? Did you go up/down in strength since you started?

I was a pack-a-day smoker as well, usually lights or extra lights, though it's damn near impossible to figure out what strengths packs are since the Canadian government made the ridiculous decision to ban tobacco companies from using terms like "light" or "extra light." Now they're all completely arbitrary names like "White" or "smooth" or such which give zero indication of the strength.

Anyway, to start with I went with 18mg because it was "regular", or what I felt was middle-of-the-road. From my very limited experience so far (2 days analog-free) 18mg seems to work pretty well for me. I didn't notice any real change in blood pressure or anything -- but then I also find that with vaping I'm puffing ad-hoc in a manner that works out to be less than I'd puff away on analogs, so if 18mg is more than I smoked before, it's tempered with less frequent puffing, so it works itself out.

I'll probably step down a notch at some point -- the plan is to eventually quit -- but for now, 18mg seems to work pretty well.

I was a 2-3 pack a day Benson and Hedges SHORT (most people would choke if they bummed one) smoker for 18 years. I started at 36 > 24 > 16 and am about to get some 8-10 or maybe 0.

I do chain vape all day though. Like 5-6ml a day chain vape, but I attribute it to the fact I like vaping, and not the need for the nic. That is why I am going to go even lower.

Hello everyone, yesterday was my 1st day with ought analogs yayayay :) I'm still holding strong today. I'm vaping 16mg cartridges from volcano and get scratchy throat almost every time I take a pool. Would you say that scratchy throat has to do with the quality of cartridge or the amount of nicotine? Today I ordered "Boba's Bounty Size and Strength: 18MG - 12ML" as well as "555 Size and Strength: 12MG - 12ML" I used to smoke about 8 cigs a day "parliaments" and never had this scratchy throat effect. Any thoughts on this?

I was 2 pack ultra light smoker...I started at 18mg, went to 24, now back to 18,sometimes 12, 2ml a day throughout.
E liquid is not full of chemical boosters, so you might need the next step up to compensate what those ciggies gave ya.
36- camel non filter
24- reds
18- lights
12- ultra lights....mg you were getting before, + the chemicals. per pack average.
But like I said before, with e cigs, you generally need to step up a lvl, sometimes two, to feel satisfied to start out. Once you have your habits down, because they will change, you can work back down. Dont go above 36..thats potent stuff :p

yes, its the nicotine that gives majority of the throat hit. PG allows a slight bit also. VG will smooth out the nic. Most e liquids work very much like cigs..lighter e liquid, lighter hit, less vapor. :)

I was a 2 PAD Marlboro Medium smoker. I just started vaping last night with the stuff my 510 came with which is 18mg and I haven't had an analog since. I think I have found my nic zone. I only vape once an hour or so. I have some 26mg that also came with it, I thought about trying it and seeing if I can go longer between vaping. My goal is eventually to get nic free. For now I'll rejoice in being analog free for 24 hrs.

Hey Zero I find that the china liquid gives me a sore throat acouple of pulls is all it takes. But when i use my VaporBomb liquid no sore throat. Funny as I was reading this pulled out an old carto of china 555 that I was going to clean out for some GOOD juice and thought It has been a while lets try it again and guess what My damn throat hurts.

So the answer is YES the liquid you use makes a big differance.

Carts in my starter kit came with 18 mg. I had to go up 24mg was ok but i got a bottle of 36 mg my last purchase. The 36mg did the trick for me haven't had a analog in 3 weeks. Although i have been going threw atomizers like crazy. Seems like the cheap liquid i was getting caused a major build up around my atomizers that was causing them to fail. Just got back from FreedomSmokeUSA and Dave and Pam hooked me up with a Ego starter kit and a bunch of samples. They are 24mg but seem to work as good as the 36mg of the other brand. The difference in vapor is like night and day. So i guess my point is that if even though it say's it is 24mg or 36mg
Quality of the liquid makes a big difference in the quality of the vapor.
