Hello, I still use regular non VV eGo batteries 3.8-4.2v. I want to get some dual coil MT3/eVod coil heads and was wondering what ohm would be best for not a harsh throat hit, want more smooth and the most vapor possible with this setup. I use 50/50pg/vg. I think I have the options of 1.5, 1.6, 1.8, 2.4 not sure on that yet. I usually vape flavors like mango, coco cream, kiwi, watermelon, etc.

Would dual coils be too much for that regular setup, thanks.

It's been recommended to not go under 2 OHM for a 3.4 volt ego, and maybe as low as 1.7 ohm for a fixed 3.7 volt like the Riva and such.
Dual coils were never impressive at those voltages and caused problems.
I remember 1.5 OHM atties causing issues.
Does your ego have protection circuitry? Like short circuit or over discharge? If not, better to stay around 2 ohms.

Probably too much, but it depends upon the resistance of the dual coils. In my experience, dual coils require a non-eGo variable voltage battery for best results.

Dual coils do not necessarily produce more vapor. A 1.5 ohm single coil will produce a similar amount of vapor as a 3.0 ohm (two 1.5 ohm coils) dual coil atomizer.

It sounds like you like a cooler vape, and not a warmer vape. This means a higher ohm, lower voltage (a Tootle Puffer).

Try using flavors with a higher vg, lower pg ratio to gain more vapor. Most e-liquid manufacturers who custom mix allow choosing the pg/vg ratio.

Most fruit flavors vape best with higher ohm, lower voltage in my experience. Low ohm, high voltage often cause fruit flavors to taste burnt.

    Should be around 2 ohms.
If you are not using vv, then you have to experiment with the different ohm coils and see what you like best with the setup you are using.

Dual coils have 2 coils so it's like vaping twice; they generally have lower ohms and need more power
