The best percentage is pretty much user preference. However, there are some properties to keep in mind.
* Higher VG = less dense (but smoother) throat hit.
* Higher VG = denser looking cloud of vapor.
* Higher VG = sweeter
juice; PG has no taste (which is not a bad thing when flavoring agents are intended to supply all the taste).
* Higher VG makes the
juice thicker, which will wick slower. How much slower, I really can't say. Slower wicking may not always be bad, as long as the atomizer can wick it efficiently. Sometimes, a tank that leaks with PG juice will work fine with a higher VG juice.
* Higher VG shortens the life of an atomizer (or of a rebuilt atomizer before it needs to be rewicked / dry burned), as gunk will cake more quickly on the coils and wick.
Some of the more common mixes are PG/VG 30/70, 50/50, 70/30.
